Looks really nice.
Why is PS3 keep getting new games and a JRPG at that while the Wii and Xbox360 were abandoned like a year or two? I mean the Wii is a clear winner sales wise but why was it abandoned so quickly?

- Baba says that they built the new LMBS based on surveys asking what system fans enjoyed the most

Hahaha I agree in a lot of respects but that freedom was a welcoming change, I wouldn't put it past baba to blend the two honestly but he has been saying that this tales would be special and different then things in the past. These might just be much larger game spaces to accommodate the new battle system, we will see really, need more info rawr!I loved Xenoblade but there was just to much walking endleslly in that game. I prefered it more confined like in the last story. But if the characters are good and story is nice sign me up for a western release .
Maybe we have to "Slay" it.Someone tell me what's up with the dragon?

Few years ago I wouldn't have been optimistic but I think after ToX, ToX2 and ToS HD we probably don't have to worry about a localized version.
Plus I think even many there are hungering for some proper HD RPGs now, it's likely why games like Persona 5 are for PS3 rather than 3DS or Vita, nevermind that the Vita hasn't exactly taken off anywhere, it only looks as good as it does now because of Wii U's troubled state and the fact it's a great place for indies who make games that need buttons/sticks. Though going by the thread about Japan leading in mobile revenue a lot of that can probably be attributed to a huge chunk of that handheld base just going to smartphones instead, probably especially the audience that was receptive to PSP beyond Monster Hunter fans, who must've gone 3DS instead.Install Base in Japan.
Edit: and as Kagari said, Wii owners didn't buy a lot of games.
Someone tell me what's up with the dragon?
Dang, this looks proper different for a Tales game. Not sure what to think just yet.
I'm interested in the game but it really doesn't look too different to me.

Maybe they were expecting cell shading like in Vesperia? Not really sure what you're expecting. Graphics look similar to Xillia and Graces but we have a glimpse at what looks like a very open field and battles possibly without transitions, the former which looks like a big improvement from what they've done with Graces/Xillia, the latter new for the series as a whole.

Its an improvement of what we currently have but its not something I would call all that different.
It's not as if they have a magical solution to make the PS4 BC, the only solutions are if they got the GPU/CPU cheap enough to throw on a chip then throw in there (which happened with the PS2... and STILL it didn't last) or if they had made the PS3 x86 based in the first place (more about increasing the odds then though) though you can definitely argue the Cell was a stupid move to begin with anyway.Looks like the ps3 is going to be around for quite some time.
Sucks even more that the ps4 isnt backwards compatible...
Stupid move Sony
And there's some games that just can't easily be done on handhelds as it is, not without heavy compromising anyway. If they wanted a Persona roughly in line with the PS2 games for instance... yeah, that can work on 3DS probably, and has been surpassed on Vita, but Zestria doesn't look like the kind of game you'd easily do on 3DS or Vita, though Vesperia kind of did.I agree, I love how many JRPG's have found a place on the 3DS but I really desire to play a home console JRPG every now and then, I'm really interested in some of the next year offerings like X, Xillia 2, Dark Souls 2(PC), Drakengard 3, and in 2015 Persona 5.
no seperate battle screen? I like what I saw here..
