InFAMOUS [Mafia] [OT] No Good Karma...

Lie about what?

Ah, lie in that context makes little sense. Let me re-explain myself.

The bit you quoted and seemed to agree with was in response to Zipped's query about an alternative scenario where cabot was an even night commuter instead of an odd night one. cabot has now said that this is not the case and that he stands by his old claim.

The thing is that I am not seeing how what cabot is claiming fits into the night kills we've had, or to be exact, to the kills we haven't had. The even night commuter scenario would explain the missing kills without adding new roles into play. cabot's own theory where Bronx targets an odd night commuter on a odd night is nonsense. I am wondering if there is a scenario without a blocker where cabot is what he claims to be?

Thus, the original question about the "lie". Why wouldn't scum cabot embrace the theory I presented as truth? Why not change the claim to an even night commuter and claim he wanted to tank kills (which he might've even succeeded to do)? The answer I see that the tower of lies is getting too high as it is.

You call cabot a humongous liar yourself. Do you think he dodged a kill?

and even if cabot would be a even night commuter, why the fuck would bronx switch from cabot to swamped but then stay on swamped.

in both scenarios there was no kill. why would staying on swamped be better than staying on cabot. if cabot did not die, why would swamped die. which one was the bp, which the ascetic and when he himself was blocked. did he completely rely on his dank reads and was more certain that swamped was scum. did he remember what ascetic means.

i fucking dunno.

ascetic blocking kills, now even my theories are going insane.

not a surprise, really.

this is what i have to deal with when i have no scum chat to spam in.

feel free to use that as a "HMM ME THINKS THAT WAS VERILY SUSPICION" -argument.

I mean just because he said he's a commuter didn't mean he actually was one. Could've been a mafia making up a role, also Swamped had no reason to survive a killing. Along with making no mention of being attacked (I think you would know if you lost your BP status), I can see why he'd attack her twice since her survival is way scummier than cabot's.

Hmm, what do you think of Bronx town-reading cabot through all of that though? He has the key to the whole situation. Currying favor with the mafia? But even then nobody really expected him to be the SK at all.

My problem with Cabot being scum is that he went after Swamped more than anyone else did. She didn't have much heat so scum had no reason to try to bus or publicly suspect her at that point.

lol now blarg thinks scummate splinter has been tunneling me for 3 day phases.

You should kill me today, because I feel if I don't die today, then Splinter, Blarg and I will be alive at endgame, which resolves absolutely nothing.

That's such an anti-conclusion that scum can take advantage of.

as for your questions Kyan, how often had you played with Bronx?

My theory is possible, even if it doesn't make much sense.

It's one of many theories, but i don't know why you'd strong townread me otherwise.

Can we remember this is Bronx, who usually jumps on you if you even mention him as a potential scum. Yet he consistently had me as town read.

I can't explain his play, I can't explain flame's read either.

By this I mean I've been consistently scumreading Bronx for a long period of this game, yet he said I was town. Never relented from that view.

VOTE: cabot

you guys need conclusions to be made for endgame, and my flip helps a lot in that regard.

This isn't optimal town play, but I honestly feel keeping me alive means Splinter, Blarg and I survive in lylo.

I personally believe that is toxic. The playfield has been so exposed by this constant back and forth with no results. You guys need one of us to die, and I'm pretty sure scum won't solve that conundrum, it's a perfect situation to keep to confuse Town.

Blarg didn't answer why he unvoted me adequately, he hasn't really answered why he disappeared after dumping a vote on flame, when we now know zeusy and flame were town/town.

I've been saying most of this game I scumread zipped, but thats a natural read on my part. i just think his general play is scummy. I've been trying to rely on others to help me with this.

I think how he tried to take credit for pushing swamped is weird, and while blarg has thrown him in scum team lists, he's never pushed for his lynch.

It's irrelevant anyway, a read is a read. You work from the flips and make your own conclusions.

That self vote is nonsense lover. You want one of us three to die so you're lynching the only one you claim to know is town? I don't buy it for a second.

"I was on the CCS wagon, therefore my picks for likeliest to be scum were those on the CCS wagon"

I mean.....you do you, man. For the record, I do think Cabot is town but I'm just basing that on meta so far.

Lone. I wasn't really paying attention on Isaac enough to be completely confident of a vote on him and I still believe Cabot is town.

I'm probably reading way too deep into this, but I don't feel like Cabot would be so desperate to die if he were scum.

These were the posts I found about Bronx reading cabot. Now, since he was a neutral, we have no way to know if he was telling the truth or not, so the validity of these opinions is questionable at best.

The 1st post about cabot being town in Bronx's mind comes on day one, after the 1st night a kill was missed. Coincidence or not, that too can be questioned.

Really, from my POV the only thing that makes sense is playing to your wincon. Bronx got a townie N1, he should be looking for scum.

but...

Shocked.

Not the best play, but i'd rather one of us die than none. If Blarg gets headway, I'll vote him, but if not him then myself..

I don't think you'll get any sort of lead.

I'm pretty certain it's only town vs scum now.

So it's just a matter of either hitting scum or hitting a target that helps town.

I'm the latter. In my opinion, Blarg is the former.

This'd be my 3rd or 4th game with Bronx iirc and I feel I know how he thinks. You can find some mentions about that in the thread, in some posts commented how I felt some of the things he said were very "Bronx" indeed. And you are right. I could see Bronx targeting the odd night commuter on a odd night. That'd be very Bronx indeed.

But the read, ehh. Neutrals have no reason to be truthful about their reads.

I dunno, this seems a pretty strong tunnel, I don't remember you being this all in before.

Why would you push it when you did if we were scummates though? at the time you were the minority. Don't buy it.
Agendas are for the meek, I scumread you for being scummy and no amount of teammate camaraderie would have stood in the way of that.

well when the flip happens you'll be able to reconsider it all and come to a new conclusion, which is pretty important.

One needs to die and you vote for yourself. Premature, but I cannot measure your level of frustration so what do I know.

I am one of the three. As said, I'll vote Blarg, though I doubt Splinter is in contention.

Maybe my postcounts from the previous two days should indicate my frustration.

Irrelevant though, you must admit it's troublesome to have all three of us alive at the end.

Just to say I do lean town on Splinter, just feels like he's nailed a scum and is digging his feet in.

I've been there myself. Once or twice.

Vote Blarg then. Make this a fight.

Last point I'd agree with but I'm not fan of the thing it implicates. At best, OA should be the only one who should have a bit of a shield on him, thanks to the Shrödinger's chat being an unorthodox role for the meanies.

I've been pushing Blarg almost as long as Splinter has been pushing me.

it's been just as fruitless.

I honestly think you need to kill one of us, scum aren't going to do it.

I'll take myself if it means one of us dies.

While I don't find scum-reading Swamped as much as a town-tell as I would with other scum, I do agree that bussing from the absolute beginning is quite bold. But this self-voting is the worst because does nothing to alleviate any concerns especially with him wasting our last lynch before a probable lylo.

no, it's not wasteful, surely you can see the problem if we have a situation in LYLO where Splinter, Blarg and I are still alive?

you've got Splinter tunneled on me, I'm tunneled on Blarg and Blarg wants to kill me.

One of us dying is a benefit, I don't know how it's not when we're currently not in lylo.

But you're acting like we're advocating a kalor or LP lynch today. You or Blarg will likely be lynched without any of your self-voting nonsense, all it does is throw up a further cloud of uncertainty in an already unclear game.

lol *Sp knows you have never have full traction and he knows it. I think it's entirely possible scum!*S has been tunnelling you for Days while you're both scum, for Townie points when/if you flip; ESPECIALLY combined with your apparent martyr complex this game, I think cahoots even even more.

and sigh, if you really must know the real truth behind why I unvoted you that Day and never came back; it's really because I had totes intended to contribute more after feigning that frustration, but I fell asleep

!

:(

IMO, I don't think there's a Mafia!Roleblocker in this game. Well, the existence of Killer Bronx might add to the likelihood of that existence, but... nah, a filthy Roleblocker just as a counter for an SK? Don't think so

Especially seeing as this Town's been rather devoid of Power Roles

nope.

Any explanation for the Nightly events is likely sans Mafia-aligned Roleblocker

so yeah cabot probably lied, & dodged

explain cabot

btw RIP interns

Who ever scum-read Zeusy and WaffleTaco? What a shameful thing to have ever done.

Hosts never Mafia the new, everyone here should know better
