Heel vs. Face WIN/LOSS Records on PPV in 2012

Royal Rumble: Faces 3 - Heels 2 - No Decision 1
Elimination Chamber: Heels 3 - Faces 2
WrestleMania: Faces 5 - Heels 3 (counting Cena as a heel for this event; Taker & Trips both as faces don't factor in)
Extreme Rules: Faces 8 - Heels 1

OVERALL: Faces 18 - Heels 9

Heels who have won this year on PPV include:
- Daniel Bryan has won twice (steel cage against Show & Henry plus the Elimination Chamber)
- Kane over Orton at Mania (before getting beat twice more by Orton on TV & Extreme Rules)
- Team Johnny to put him in power
- Cody Rhodes in a 4 1/2-minute tables match because The Big Show had an oopsie and stepped into a table by accident (
Cody promptly got decimated by both Show and Orton as penance
on Smackdown)
- Jack Swagger in a 3-minute squash of Justin Gabriel to fill time
- Primo & Epico in a Mania preview show match versus the Usos that nobody saw (they proceeded to lose every match since to every makeshift team imaginable)
- The recently fired Bella Twins
- Beth Phoenix & Natalya Neidhart (in the same match as the Bellas)
- Beth Phoenix as a singles competitor (against Tamina Snuka... she obviously has not mastered the lethal rollup finisher)

WWE just posted over 30 video clips from Monday Night Raw in 1994 on their YouTube channel:

Watching Bret Hart and British Bulldog vs. Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart right now.

What exactly happened to kill the Luger/Perfect angle? Perfect fucked over Luger at WM10, did the promo on Raw, and then just disappeared again. Luger then immediately started the angle with Ted DiBiase that led to Tatanka's heel turn.

Were those any good? I always dismissed them because of the dumb name.

The first 2 were good. Of course this is when you didn't have guys on Smackdown wrestling on Raw every week.

They should have kept the brand split ppvs to be honest. We would see a ton of character development because the low tier guys would actually have time to have great story lines and matches.

For instance, Cena might not even be on the roster right now if he didn't have the time to build up his thuganomics character without fodder feuds. We would have awesome build ups between Raw and Smackdown guys for ppvs like Wrestlemania. The anticipation for a Punk/DBRY match would actually be interesting if they never wrestled on tv 3 times already!

Why does the WWE think the audience is dumb enough not to remember that Lord Tensai is Albert?

If I were writing the storyline I would of got Cole to explain that Albert was a fan of Anime so he moved to Japan and competed in New Japan Pro wrestling and learned Japanese so that he didn't have to watch Anime dubbed anymore.

Aside from the anime stuff, isn't that what they are doing?
They've acknowledged that he is a former WWE Superstar, who went to Japan for several years and dominated...

Unless I'm missing the sarcasm.

They haven't mentioned that he went by Prince Albert/A-Train before heading to Japan though. Only that he used to be in WWE.

There is no audience beyond the little jimmies.

little jimmies don't even remember Brock's first run

How many of those lil jimmies were even ALIVE back then?

They just (probably rightly) think that nobody cares.

They've said onscreen on more than one occasion that he used to be a WWE superstar who went to Japan and came back. It's not like they're really hiding it, they're just not explicitly putting his old name out there.

Don't worry. Cena will.

God, you're right.

I've been waiting for it ever since they stepped in a ring together this year.
Cena will prep an entire montage of Albert looking like a goof. He'll feature the "shave my back" chant, the Hip Hop Hippo gimmick with Scotty 2 Hotty riding his shoulders, Albert's loss to help build UT's Mania streak, he'll poke fun at the name A-Train... meanwhile Tensai will just scowl at him and look all serious as his gimmick gets destroyed.

And it will all end in this clip right here... where Cena calls Albert a wookie. Except all of the scenes with He Who Shall Not Be Named will be edited out.

"You used to be a wookie. But now you're just a weeaboo."
The crowd will chant "Weeaboo! Weeaboo! Weeaboo!"

It should be noted that both Bork Laser & Weeaboo were directly involved in Cena's penultimate face turn prior to Survivor Series some 8 1/2 years ago.

Oh yeah, I think I remember that. Didn't it involve a Team Lesnar or something like that?
Pretty much.

Brock Lesnar was putting together a team or guys to take on Kurt Angle's team at Survivor Series. After rounding up Matt Morgan, Nathan Jones and The Big Show, Lesnar & Heyman tried to recruit John Cena as their fifth man.

Cena had just wrapped up a feud with Angle (where he tapped out to the ankle lock at No Mercy the previous month) and had teamed with Brock successfully in a TV match against Angle and the Undertaker. So they figured it was a sure thing. Cena turned them down, said he wouldn't fit in on "Team Sasquatch", and effectively turned face when A-Train blindsided him from behind and Team Lesnar unleashed a 5-on-1 assault against Cena. John hooked up with Team Angle for revenge and that was that.

Cena & He Who Shall Not Be Named were the sole survivors of that match and John would evolve into the ass-kissing face we've come to know and love today. Except it's the crowd's ass he kisses.

You missed my favourite part, the backstage interview after the match where Lesnar calmly attempts to state "I didn't lose" despite him like tapping out in the middle of the ring. I still use the phrase for multiplayer blunders every now and then.

Guys the wait is over. Here's my second match managing. Now a few notes, I had an opening promo that wasn't recorded here but there is a little mike stuff at the front that went okay. I liked my open a bit more. I believe someone else got it and will be posting that at some point.

My guy is super green and so am I. My guy is B-Rabbit and is wrestling in black. I'm "The Golden Boy B-Arthur". His opponent is Brandon Groom who's been squashed by Koslov and someone else at a house show so there's that.

Feel free to skip till about 5 minutes in. There's a lot of stuff I want to work with my guy on but I think the end is pretty darned entertaining.

I laughed when you were jumping up and down all excited asking dude to join the B-Team and then after he said no how you exited under the second rope. I loved the ending segment with you counting the 3 only to thwarted. The Atomic drop spot was great and you flew into B-Rabbit which looked amazing. The end where you had the shirt off took a chop and then got saved only to beat on Groom like you were Ralph from Christmas Story made my night. Well done my friend you were great, all the little things were done perfectly. Looking forward to more videos.

I'm scared to think how they'll manage to f**k up Punk VS Bryan. Please don't f**k it up WWE.

They actually mention he was Albert/A-Train on the his profile on wwe.com. Then again I don't think the website and show writers communicate a whole lot

Punk is due a title loss, he won at WM, he's won in his hometown.

I think D-Bry might actully have a shot at winning this match or the return at No Way Out.

It is foolish to hold out hope for an Iron Man match at one of the two PPVs? Both are unimportant PPVs, the WWE may not care about taking up a lot of one.

Let them feud all the f**king way to SS, you know they'll make it work.

Those smiles were legit excitement between the two, they can both go on the mic and obviously wrestle the house down.

OMG

Its funny I noticed how Bryan was smiling on the way to the ring and I'm like thats... weird. It all makes sense now. :D

You like torturing yourself, huh?

Punk is now on 160 days into his run. For WWE standards he's way overdue a loss. Bryan is selling merc like crazy (merchandise sales = WWE Title runs, proven fact).

Hey, it could happen.

Plus, everyone thought he was gonna get pushed back to midcard. Sure he's not yet going for the Feud w/ Cena-championship level, but the WWE championship is above the WHC in terms of WWE titles, so.
