I still want to see how deep the gameplay is. I played the first Dragon Ball Z Tenkaichi? game on the Wii for a lot of time and loved the Rock Paper Scissor mechanics. Characters balances are a different story.

Hoping this game isn't dumbed down to "Power Up -> Ultimate Attack" rinse and repeat.

I haven't played the original storm so if others could comment on the battle system, be my guest

There's only one attack button so it's very simple gameplay wise but there are a lot of jutsu's each character can pull off by pressing a combination of buttons. At it's heart, it's a very simple brawler with a lot of variety in characters.

Curious if anyone knows what Famitsu gave the first game. I don't really find their scoring to match up that well with what I would give games so I'd just like to know how good they thought the first game was and therefore how much the second has improved it. I tried to find it on google but as usual for Famitsu I didn't have any luck that way.

There's a video on youtube of an online match. Lot's of info that could have been added. No previews, no links, no breakdowns. If you're going to do a OT do it right.

I know it's cheesy, but that's one of the things I hated about the first... the opening in the original recreated all those great scenes from the show, but when you play the game, they're nowhere to be found to break up the minigames and scroll fetching >:-(

AFAIK, PS3/360 are fine. You won't find many people using arcade sticks.

But I've never played the game, just saw my friend play the demo, so I don't know very far.

I'd say that's a fair assumption due to the first game being a PS3 exclusive. There's an already established fan base. Maybe we can start a list of Gamer Tags and PSN IDs. Here's mine..

My collectors edition was shipped 2 days ago, but it would probarly take some time for it to arrive from Australia. http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/ was the only site i was able to find where they had the collectors edition with an english cover. They still got some left if anyone is interested.
