East LA isn't a hockey part of town. Fireworks are always in season there. At least I think they're fireworks.

A couple people I know are Downtown and they're posting pictures on their facebook. Looks fun.

Congrats to the Kings, played better hockey.

Can't help but feel this series was closer than it was on paper. Just brutal 3rd periods, sit back and try to hold the lead, ride Hank to the end. At least with AV we had leads to protect.

Feel happy for Gaborik, always a favorite of mine, guy needed a C. Having Torts in your ear doesn't help matters either.

I turned on KTLA to see if they were covering the streets of LA........and they are talking about a tortoise........it's adorable........and they just showed people standing outside wearing Kings stuff..........

We came up short against a really good team. I think we played really well. They are so balanced and it seems like nothing rattles them and you need to give them credit. I still look at all three games in this building and we could have won all three. I think we hit the post in every OT but it’s how it goes. They were good, so they had a lot of good players step up in key moments during the series so you need to give it to them.”

“I told you going into the playoffs that I wanted to leave everything out there. I prepared so hard for each game and I have never been so tired after a round like this. It’s a long round and a lot of games and intense games but I felt like I did everything I could to prepare and get to where i need to help the team. It was not enough against this team, they were really good and we talked about it throughout the playoffs, there are a lot of things that you can’t control but what you can control is your prep and how you play out there and you just need to leave it on the ice and tonight you try not to get frustrated when you see replays and pucks going through his arms and hitting the post twice and thinking OT and knowing how close we were but at the same time you need to stay in it and be focused.”

JVR says he knows the feel cause Boston did the biggest comeback against Toronto and scored like 4-5 goals straight to win a game that they were losing 4-0 into the 3rd. Couture says what he says cause the kings won 4 straight against the sharks this playoffs. And they went on to win the cup.
