Spring 2014 Anime |OT2| about as likely as a second season of Hyouka

The CG is maybe the smallest problem of the new Sailor Moon anime series. But why is Toei trying to kill the Sailor Moon franchise?

Other studios and production commitees would kill for a series with such a national and international appeal.

I've seen this response a few times now. Do all the lolis explode and turn into aliens or something?

That probably would have made more sense than
main non-loli girl going all yandere (complete with psycho eyes) and becoming a potential enemy down the line despite there being NO indication throughout the show that she had that kind of personality.
At the very least, it's unpredictable.

They're practically spread eagle right now

Man we went from no named bad guys to more named bad guys then named good guys in like 2 episodes. I'm guessing everyone is going to get a go berserk -> power up episode or two while fighting various baddies each week while we get more about their back stories.

Good, I'm not the only one who thought that came out of nowhere. The way
she killed that guy
still confuses me.
How was he able to sit around talking for a few seconds after she split him in half!?!

I mean we did have a few scenes of her talking about wanting revenge against those who killed her parents, along with a scene of her seeing brothers name revealed as part of the people who built the monolith that was falling apart. It wasn't completely out of left field, but it was an incredibly minor sub plot that got brought up in a very major way that should have been handled a lot better.

Yea Idk that was random as fuck. Nuff said. Could potentially set up an interesting second season at least... Idk what to say haha. I enjoyed it, if they don't make a 2nd season oh well but if they do it could potentially be ok. I guess they can use that twist to their advantage. Make it so rentarou loses everything and shit and just make it super depressing lol.
remember when rentarou went to the doctor or whatever and enju was near the percentage of pretty much dying? Have her and kisara die next season. rentarou kills kisara because she becomes to evil and bam you might have a decent second season of this. depressing as fuck but hey whatever.

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Black Bullet 13 END
Did it really have to go this route? Was this necessary? I didn't mind it ending on a note where a second season is completely possible, but the how is just...what?

Yeah. From I'm the most important person in your life to we're enemies now. Ugh... I can't say I'm surprised at the logical inconsistencies. The whole
lantern lighting and standing with the little girls we were killing like sub-human right before our time of need
seemed needlessly shallow. The last scene of the previous episode which was the first scene of this episode where the bodyguard who was fired a few episodes ago throws some box into the water... what was that about? Whatever. The show is whatever...

I love how the cliffhanger in episode 12 had zero impact on 13. It's pretty amazing that someone would forget a cliffhanger just from the previous damn episode, that you used as the intro for the finale.

It's why they had to charge forward the way they did, which is what lead to so few surviving in the end. Again it should have been presented better then it was IE instead of having the Kisara and her brother scene we should have had a scene of Rentaro finding out and confronting him about the batteries while Kisara contacts her brother about the documents she found tying him to the crumbling monolith.

FWIW it looks like the anime only covered up to the 3rd of the 7 light novels

Book 1: Those who aimed to be gods
Book 2; vs Ingenious Sniper
Book 3: The World Destruction by the Flames

Stuff that I assume wasn't covered based upon titles alone

Book 4: Vengence is mine
Book 5: The Fugitive: Satomi Rentaro
Book 6: Wanderer to Purgatory
Book 7: Bullet of the World Revolution

So at the pacing they did they could easily do another 13 episode season, and the series is still ongoing.

Someone needs to yell out glop every few minutes.

The main reason I'm going to the premiere is for some heckling. Commentary helps the medicine go down.

Not even gonna lie, guys, this episode was actually pretty legit. Macross leads, as you may or may not know, are all categorical douchelords. With the exceptions of Movie Hikaru and Nekki Basara. Basara is fucking insane and Movie Hikaru is actually a great protagonist. Anyway, Alto isn't much of an exception, with his constant inability to realize, let alone choose, that the two girls in the show are in love with him. This has lead pretty much to half the problems in the series, and boy does this episode really throw it back in his face. I mean, Ranka's ran off with White Haired Pretty Boy Lynn Kaifun Junior, and his whole crew has abandoned him to become Space Pirates.

I mean when aren't Space Pirates awesome? The scene where the captain declares that this is what they are to become is straight up badass enough, but President Dictator immediately dispatches Alto and his friends to go kill their former comrades while using Sheryl's concert to pacify the masses.

Which means, ladies and gentlemen, that Alto is now Shinn Asuka, working for the Chairman, who is manipulating Lacus to his whims. And while that isn't awesome, Alto attempts to spit a Tominoism in Ozma's face: "IS THIS HOW ADULTS ARE!?" he shrieks, long, girly hair billowing in the space winds.

"I wouldn't know," Ozma quips. "I'm not an adult. I'm a man!" Shut up you in the back, it was cool, and his subsequent trash talk while beating the everliving shit out of Alto was, too.

Sadly no delicious drama this time, but space piracy makes up for it.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
F-zero GP Legend episode 4
So this is episode made samurai goroh into a big dick OG, which he isnt in game canon, atleast when going up against da gawd captain falcon.

So I just scrubbed to the end and hey, at least she
cries, so I assume it's supposed to all be a front anyway

Corvo is going to enjoy the ending.

The ending of this show is going to be Sheryl firing a sniper rifle into Ranka's head, whispering "Because I'm Sheryl!" and then dying while Alto dresses for another Kabuki performance as a woman and delivers a ten minute anti-war speech.

The end credits are going to be Kawamori fat-shaming the audience while jerking off to stills of Arjuna.

Yes.

Wed: Free, Bakumatsu Rock

Thurs: Glasslip, Shirogane no Ishi, Tokyo Ghoul, Rail Wars, Futsuu no Joshikousei

Fri: Nothing until 7/11

I don't know what people like CR have picked up for the day it comes out.

Oh snaps. Glasslip on Thursday? Crunchyroll is simulcasting that. Saw the trailer for that show and it looks to be the romance-drama of the season.

I also thought the blind red-eyed girl was going to play some role. She didn't.

Glasslip isn't a romance-drama. The main character makes a hobby of constructing glass figurines. As this artisanal work increasingly becomes an obsession her friends begin to drift away, and in as a last resort to cling on to those bonds she traps their souls inside an assortment of glass animals she made herself.

Watch out for the giraffe.

To play devil's advocate a bit for Black Loli Bullet:

It was foreshadowed by someone that Kisara
would walk down a dark path(like this person verbally warned Rentarou)
and she
revealed those murder eyes in an earlier episode when she burned that document or whatever which had links to her family
.

Still though: lol

Yeah I think everyone saw it coming but nobody wanted to admit it. Honestly though, I was hoping
that she would be the final boss of this season instead of Aldebaran.
Is this show even going to get a second season?

So if last episode was Gundam SEED Destiny this shit's just gone full-blown End of Evangelion, what with the
giant Ranka emerging from the planet to lead her insect space babies.
There's all kinds of unimportant plot stuff going down and Sheryl winning the competition and Grace being all evil and shiz, but the most important thing is that
giant alien Rancrab
is singing Do You Remember Love?

In the titular film the song is beautiful because Minmay's just had her heart ripped out and crushed by Hikaru, but she has to go and sing anyway because either she does or mankind and half the Zentradi are going to die.

Here it's just insane. The idea is for it to be creepy, but it isn't. It's just plain bonkers. I suppose that Grace wants it to be ironic, but it's just nuts and I appreciate that the show has gone insane.

No Kisara you are the monsters. And then Kisara became monsters. Holy shit did I hate so many things in the episode. Shoma dying like two hours right after he gets a new loli partner whose partner also just died. Kisara and her whole. "I AM EVIL!" Then....then...ugh.
The only reason I'd ever want a second season is for more Kagetane and Kohina.

Why is Judau my favorite Gundam protagonist, bar Domon?

Because mother effing Judau punches the entire Earth Federation in the face and then kicks food on their lapel for good measure. As a side note, Fa's back! That means Kamille will be back soon, too! Yay!

I meant like money for better CG, it's certainly possible. I mean, this is a scene we see at least once per episode, why not pumping more money in it?
Toei's internal CGi department is actually pretty good, at least relative to most other CG studios in the anime industry. So this was probably as good as they could make them with the time they had.

It should also be noted that Toei is overworking hundreds of their 2D animators right now with so many shows on their plate.
