Yeah, which they wouldn't be able to do if not for all their money. Nintendo and Sony couldn't just slash that huge price cut and throw in a load of games.
So we've come to the point where Sony can't compete, even if they do all the right things. Thus, MS can just keep trying their BS, because in the end, all they have to do is say, "Oopsie... well we gotta try... btw, our $700 Xbox Two? Yeah it's now $200 with 10 games."
Yeah, it's too bad they picked remasters of the two best games of last generation rather than picking broken last gen up-ports and mediocre Ubisoft bug fests.

Yea, too bad many people have already played them last gen. Still not sure that to bundle those remasters was the right choice, though MS would beat them with their insane deals anyway.

The PS3 hemorrhaged money for a pretty long time. A console being priced with poor-negative profit margins is not a Microsoft thing. In general, something with a good value selling well is typically considered "deserved."
Yeah this is one the best deals MS had all year but i still don't think that guarante's them the month imo. Sony still has the mindshare going for them and the affect of friends buying the same consoles. That worked wonderfully for 360 last generation. But, who knows. And i still believe everyone is being too pessimistic about the GTAV bundle.

I don't get the point of everyone posting pictures to prove XB1 is selling more? You could just as well say Sony shipped more PS4's that's why they're still in stock. I'm mean really. Didn't Abdiel say a Sony employee visited BB to discuss how much they expect to sell? These anecdotal pictures don't indicate total sales at all.
The Xbox 360 was also cheaper throughout the entire generation I believe.
EDIT: I would be shocked if Xbox One doesn't take November. Jesus, some of these deals are straight insane.

That hasn't worked out with their Nokia Lumia phones....(then again Apple and Samsung can go toe to toe with MS when it comes to subsidies). I've always seen MS presence in the console video game market as a strategic presence to avoid a potential Apple, Google swoop in. Sega's demise opened the door for them.

Well it is already dominating Amazon again...

XB1 had the bundle way more time and reached #1 after a lot of updates in the hourly... PS4 first update goes to #2 and after #1.

I really want to get a PS4, but does anyone find it a bit odd that really the best "Black Friday" deal there is is a bundle with two last generation games updated for the PS4?
I mean, I can't justify the $400 purchase just because it comes with those two titles... since you know, I've already beaten them. Just doesn't really feel like a "deal", feels like something that should be packed in regardless.
I know I know, there are other ways to go, but the value doesn't seem to be there. It's alright, PS4 will sell just fine this holiday without me. Maybe my time will come at some point in 2015.

True, but I'm not that big on LBP, and lego batman I already own.
I guess I am waiting for the true price drop. Even just a temporary 30 to $40 off is fine for me. 2015 holiday buy seems likely for me.
My Xbox One suffices for now.
All we know is that it's ahead of the Xbone bundle. But by how much ? It could be 1.000 or 100.000. I wish we knew.

I believe who sell more in BF take November.
60% sales of the month are in BF using the NPD data for 360 in 2011 (750k in BF to 1.2m in the November).
The Newegg deal was perfect for you, then. Hopefully there will be another like it sometime during Friday. Doubtful, but keep an eye out.

The X1 will likely still edge out for the one month of Nov in the one region of NA. WW though, the PS4 will likely continue to absolutely steam roll the X1, won't even be close.
The PS4 has been catching up on the monthly amazon stats for the last 8-10 days before BF. From 7th vs 16th to 10th vs -14th.
That being said, XBone has november in the bag. Sold more before BF (probably not all that much, given the development the last week), looks like it's killing it BF.
But by how much? My guess was 150k, but i guess it could be more.
How many consoles are normally sold BF? Anyone?

If the Xbone only edges out the PS4 in November, MS' hundreds of millions style gamble has failed and they won't sanction anything as ludicrous as this again. I mean they can't exactly go much lower as it is.
With Xbone not able to haemorrhage more money than $330 with 2/3 games, it's now a question of how fast the PS4 can match that.

And we still do not yet know if MS will bump the price back up. Maybe this holiday gamble was allowed by Satya and co only for the holiday, with the condition that it goes back up at least some after the holidays, like to $374.99 or something.

Yet, isn't everyone praising Halo: MCC as the "must have" game on the Xbox One despite it's problems? Also, were these two remasters not received much more positively than both the Assassin Creed games bundled with the X1? A price drop would of been nice though with this bundle though I must admit, but I guess Sony figured it wasn't necessary. One factor that plays into this is X1 and PS4 has like 92% of the same games and consumers see that X1 is the cheaper option to play COD, Battlefield, Madden, GTA, etc so I am pretty sure the price discrepancy could make a noteworthy difference for Microsoft.

Been egging my brother (whos hasn't gamed in a while but was a big halo head back in the day) to pick up an Xbone for the last couple of weeks
and he just texted me that he just bought this ps4 bundle. I'm pretty surprised. lol I don't think he even knows you need PS+ to play online

In my Walmart the ps4 soldout faster. Didn't take pics because I was too busy trying to get a $200 50 inch tv.

I fully expect them to keep the low price, announce $299 for E3 and should Sony react I see the XB1 at $199 holiday season 2015 (ok, maybe rather $249 bundled with 2 games).
