Oh, bitch bitch bitch.
But those fundamental things include climate change and abortion.

Yup. There is no half decent republican. People like Rubio and Kasich are only moderate and sensible in comparison to majority of absolute drek in the race.

If anything this is showing that barring a miracle Jeb! and walker are screwed. This should have been Jeb's chance to capitalize on trump but he is so uncharisnatic that he's going to have to try and wait everyone else out and even then I think the party will choose someone else. They don't want an establishment candidate

what is wrong with america?

When you have a parade of stupid on top of general hatred toward establishment and legacy candidates (often for good reasons) the other options tend to be pretty terrible. With the GOP, look at all the candidates and decide which is the lesser of 16 (?) evils.

Rubio is the only half decent republican, if he changed some fundamentals things he'd be a just fine president. that said, Bernie for life.

Rubio is a young man with old ideas.

His views on energy, economy and foreign policy are Reaganite old schtick of the 1980s

When's the next debate? Cruz down should be cut.

With any luck we'll have more Perry's see the writing on the wall and drop out.

Next debate is Wednesday October 28th on CNBC with a whopping 8 more after that.

This is going to be a long year...

October 28, 2015 – Boulder, Colorado[edit]
The third debate will be held on October 28 at the University of Colorado in Boulder, which is also one of the sponsors. CNBC has stated that the debate will focus on the economy.[60] It was announced that there may not be an "undercard" debate.[61]

Holy crap, Walker has officially fallen down to their tier of a 'kid's table' nominee.

Also holy crap, this race still needs two tiers of competitors.

When are some of these losers just going to drop out? Though considering people counted out Fiorina just a few months back, I guess it still kind of is anyone's game.

Trump fell 25% btw.

Also:

These are +12 and +8. They were both at 3% in the last poll.

Hm, I was going by the CNN article, seems like they made a mistake there with the percentage difference. But how did Trump fall 25%? He was at 32% in the previous early September poll.

That shouldn't be a surprise. Modern American conservatism is all about rejecting the system and changing the US to "what it used to be".

You can see the beginnings of this in the 2012 polling data:

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep.../republican_presidential_nomination-1452.html

Things have just gotten even worse.

Now, the SOURCE of this is up for debate. Unfortunately for republicans, there is a good chance that this is of their own creation, and the primary voters continually demand more extreme candidates based on fear mongering and flat out lying.

Walker is the most evil one on that stage, I am glad that he is having a bad time.

Eventhough I disagree with Rand Paul on some issues, he has the guts to stand there and tell the rest of the other candidates that they are all wrong on Foreign Affairs and all wrong on the International Intervention.

Rand Paul's comments about the removal of Saddam Hussein and the aftermath is something I rarely hear any politician of any party ever say, which was true.

I thought Rubio was impressive in the debate. Definitely came across better than Carly to me. Hope he gets the nom.

I do think Rubio is the best the republicans can bring forward. But I don't believe his stance on all the issues and think he's just going with the flow to get nominated. He's the one candidate that wouldn't terrify me having as a president.

We'll see how it progresses, it's been....great entertainment so far.

CNN's premeditated agenda of pushing Fiorina clearly paid off. Don't know if this carried over to the other networks because I refuse to watch any of them. (save for the actual debates, of course)

A Kasich/Rubio ticket is the only thing that scares me in regard to the GOP having a shot at winning.

Fortunately, I don't think they'll opt for that.

I think he means trump lost 25% of his support. 8/32=25%

I think he's talking the difference between percentages and percentage points. Trump fell 8 precentage points, but he went from 32 to 24%, losing 1/4th or 25% of his popularity.

I think he means that Trump lost 25% of the support he previously had.

Edit- well, this was redundant.

Nah, I still suspect Jeb will win this. Candidates like Trump, Fiorina, and Carson don't stand much a chance over the long term. And as establishment candidates like Christie, Kasich, and Walker drop out, I imagine Jeb will absorb most of their supporters and donors. In general, as the field rearranges and shrinks, I feel Jeb will be one of the people who benefits in terms of support, infrastructure, and attention, whereas most of the current "frontrunners" will fizzle out. Shooting to #1 right now is not all that impressive or revealing, but I do find it impressive Jeb has managed to be so consistent in this environment. In the end, I predict this will come down to Rubio, Jeb, some candidate being counted out right now, and maybe one of the three people (Trump, Fiorina, Carson) currently seen as the favorites.

davepoobond

you can't put a price on sparks
At least Fiorina makes more sense compared to Carson. At least she ran a company. She ran it into the ground, but at least she did something that resembles management.

I expect Carson's gains to drop severely, personally. Fiorina and trump will pick up what he loses.

Wanksta sounds mores like someone who wanks it on camera.

I had no idea the US still has around 40.000 troops in Germany. That's crazy.

Where are you getting that from? A quick search shows that is the number of troops the US plans to reduce from worldwide bases.

Yeah sadly Rubio will probably be the best they can muster. Which is unfortunate considering how much funding he has received and is getting from private for profit prisons. He is among the worst in regards to his ties with private for profit prisons.

His stance on climate change is scary as fuck.

Poor Jeb, he was the chosen one!!!

I can't believe he's probably not going to make it. He was the obvious choice a few months ago.

I wonder if this will be the beginning of the end for Trump. I know Carson won't last long, but even though Trump dropped quite a bit, he's still easily ahead, and with the next debate being about the economy, he'll probably be more in his element, or at least projecting the facade of him being knowledgeable.

Yeah that combination of Florida/Ohio and both candidates not being batshit insane worries me too. But I don't think that'll be the ticket.

Not shocked at all about Fiorina rising since she was heavily praised after the debate by my conservative friends and relatives. Graphic descriptions of dead fetuses and warmongering play well to that crowd. I think the Trump train is losing steam and people are starting to get a little bored of his antics and beginning to see he's all bluster with no substance. I hope he stays around long enough to wreck the whole thing or gets pissed and goes third party. Glad to see Carson wilting too and Walker is just DOA.

It will be Bush. It was always going to be Bush.
Jeb! Has zero charisma and comes across as weak and beta. Trump has only further highlighted this. Bush also has a ton of baggage with the other two Bushes that he won't be able to run on in the GE. His campaign so far has been horrible as well. Considering the personalities that the GOP crowd likes. I can't see Jeb's persona as being attractive to many primary voters. He doesnt even have the lead in his own state.

Holy shit, Walker. Quickly changing my prediction to a Rubio/Fiorina ticket now.

No idea how Carson is still managing these numbers. Also, not surprised that Jeb continues to flounder. Everyone made a huge deal about how much money he raised by the beginning of the year but it's like everyone ignored how badly he stumbles anytime he has to raise his profile through actually speaking.

A rubiokasich or Fiorina/kasich ticket is the only thing that really scares me. I think Fiorina will implode before the primary though. Kasich seems like he's on vp lock though, baring a bush comeback. That Ohio/moderate thing he's got going for him is like electoral cocaine for any of those non establishment candidates.

Fiorina is about to implode now that she's in second place. All of her idiocy will be exposed. She's not going anywhere.

Man, Santorum is a mere footnote. He's gotta be baffled, especially after making a splash last time.

He was the default evangelical choice last time. No one else in the 2012 GOP field appealed to that group, so it kinda fell to him.

But now Carson's here to pick up most of the evangelical vote and Huckabee's back to get the rest, so Santorum can't back into any primary wins this time.

Scrooged

Totally wronger about Nintendo's business decisions.
The woman that said she wanted to split back up Germany for some reason during the debate is now in second place.... these people scare me sometimes.

And start another Cold War with Russia. She is hawkish as shit, and the republican base is eating it up.

I met JEB yesterday at the UGA -South Carolina game. Got a photo with him. Seems like a pretty nice guy. Sweaty, but it was pretty hot out.
