"I’ve got a story in line,” Feig tells Empire of a potential next outing for the now fully-fledged ‘busters. It's one that may even take Erin (Kristen Wiig), Patty (Leslie Jones), Abby (Melissa McCarthy) and Jillian (Kate McKinnon) out of the Big Apple, in a franchise-first spot of long-distance parapsychology. "I might go to some other places too,” hints the movie’s director and co-writer.

"I’ve always steered clear of doing sequels just because I always liked to do new stuff,” continues Feig, "but this world is so rich and this cast is so great [that] I’d be open to it. There’s so much stuff that can be done.”

It's something that should be done, in my opinion. Let the Ghostbusters go to other countries. Ghostbusters International! I'd love to see them go to Romania for example and take on a Carpathian in an old castle.

I'm fine with staying in New York, just please stop rehashing the storyline on the first movie and try something new.

Ghostbusters 2 and Ghostbusters 2016 took way too many elements from the original movie and they need to be more creative about it to make it interesting.

What happens when the Ghostbusters have their citizenships revoked???

Another clueless step in a bad direction, on par for a lot of his efforts using the franchise.

Looks at box office results. What sequel?
If there is going to be a sequel, I hope Sony is smart enough to more than halve his budget
Realistically, how about a small town instead of a city?

I love New York, but we've had three movies there. Let's get someplace new.

Europe's probably a good idea. His movie Spy went all over it.

They could go to rome, fight some ghosts and half of the movie is a psychological triller about how the pope now has doubts about the catholic church because now the afterlife is proven to not work as promised in the holy scriptures.

or they could go to china and do some blockbuster with explosions and dinossaurs

WE'RE GOIN TO CHINA

And if you don't set it in China nothing happens! It'll flop and movie goers will go away peacefully, quietly, we'll enjoy it! But if I'm right, and we can set this flick in China... Lenny, you will have saved the lives of millions of registered movie goers.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
They're going to the Middle East to bust the ghost of Muhammad and Jesus. Watch out Buddha, they're coming for you next.

If New Orleans Ghostbusters doesn't happen somewhere along the line I'm gonna be bummed.

This city is practically teeming with supernatural lore.

I did not protest against having women Ghostbusters because I thought it was stupid, but HELL NO to leaving NYC.

New York is like the unofficial fifth GB.

You know-how funny would that be if they set the entire movie in China as a goof, knowing full well it would never release in China?
