Stuff like this is so annoying, but this spesific case is so tragic/comical. She's not model material, like most of these gamer girls (just like most people aren't model material), but just because she plays games, she felt like she could pull it off if there was some video game presence? sorry, any model could stand next to a guitar hero guitar. when i heard the podcast i had to go see who raychul was. then when i saw her profile i was like WTF?! hyprocryte much. i thought maybe there were two rachels but as far as i can tell there's not.
Another forum I am a member of had a terrific time setting up female myspace/facebook/etc accounts to get free stuff from those sign up 5 people deals. It was pretty rad.
I've modified my opinion on the subject. I don't really care if a woman hams it up for the cameras (I've been told I better not.) It's the internet and people just have to learn to let shit slide (both ways).
The real issue is the girl gaming league/tournament phenomena. I'm not saying I compete at the highest levels (hell I don't even play any pc/console game organized anymore) but if I were relegated to a Special Ed league based on my sex I'd pretty pretty goddamned upset with that.
@ Dead Space. I played it on console for ~12 hours. If it's anything like I experienced with GTA: SA I'm pretty sure the improved mouse/kb aiming would cut that time significantly.
