Into my viens

I mean Sony just posted a 2 billion dollar loss for the fiscal year. It isn't unreasonable.

Every other division besides Playstation is failing miserably.

That's a loss in value, not cash. Sony isn't going anywhere, and even the TV division brought more money than SCE (in part because Sony's investing a fuckton because of the PS4's success)

So yeah, your post is a terrible misrepresentation and the one mentioned in your quote is indeed either a troll or also ignorant of what was actually reported by Sony.

Ok the first two concept arts just look silly to me but this one did the trick.

Someone from reddit was supposedly in a focus group for the game:

"Let's see based on what I can remember. The game is set in a post apocalyptic future where robots have evolved into animals/dinosaurs and humans have devolved into pre-civilization tribes of Hunters/Gatherers who are surviving off the land making weapons and armor out of robot parts.

You play as one of your tribe's hunters who's this girl that is fascinated with exploring the ruins of our old civilization.

They showed us some early concept gameplay, it seemed like one of the more unique aspect of the gameplay was that your character uses rope arrows to tangle up those giant dinobots like AT-ATs in Empire Strikes Back

They make it seem like there would be either class based co-op or your character would have some sort of NPCs fighting along side her. It seems like an open world third person action RPG and they claim the map will be extra huge.

That's all I can really remember off the top of my head, everyone in the focus group was really interested and excited about this whole rope tangling mechanic so I wouldn't be surprised if they flesh that out some more"

Hm...perhaps the concept isn't as silly as it appears.

just a question, but do you believe this got leaked???

this happens so often at sony that i actually believe, sony has serious problems about people at their HQ keeping their mouths shut.

or maybe its just a genius viral advertisment.

Absolutely loving the concept of this game. I don't know what it is about these concept pieces, but they almost seem familiar, like I have seen them before somewhere, but I know I haven't.

I suspect this was on purpose
Oh god not again

Not every leak is intentional guys, seriously this happens like every time we get one

But conspiracy theories woooo

You're being sarcastic, right?

Really? There's nothing wrong with it, it's perfectly fine. I'm not sure why you'd be upset at the idea of a controlled "leak", who cares how the information gets out?

Anyway, Guerilla has a history of creating excellent background stories for their games (Killzone), hope they do the same with this one.

Killzone Shadow Fall was a really mediocre game. I just can't get myself excited over this. The art looks great, but Killzone always had good art too!

Anyone else getting serious monster hunter vibes from these pictures, especially the last one? The impression from reddit also added to that. Hopefully this is true.

Haven't played KZ:SF but I know I'd hate it from what I've seen, especially after the stinker that was KZ3. The thing that may separate this game from KZ is they hired a decent writer. GG have great art, they even had a good backstory for KZ but the writers they used and some of their design decisions were just plain poor. The biggest shame is that there is so much wasted potential.

That doesn't really address his concerns though. It's still the same developer.
Except no one takes SniperHunter seriously anymore due to his concern trolling in nearly every thread.

It's the same people making it.
Horizon is in a different genre and with a new writer. If you're only playing Killzone for the single player, then yes, Shadow Fall was mediocre. GG still makes some of the best multiplayer out there.

I do think that what we've heard about this game plays to GG's strengths as a studio. Art and world design seem on point and they have a strong tech core to build on, all of which is more important in an RPG than most other genres. We also know GG can do weighty combat well, which would make sense given this setting. Sony is also letting them have at least 5 years total to make this game and I've always thought that GG is a studio that works best with a lot of time Combine that with several new hires to the writing and narrative design teams, the studio's biggest weakness, and there's a lot to be optimistic about.

Killzone Shadow Fall is such a poor game, that I have no confidence in this. Concept is pretty damn silly to me as well.

There were some parts of SF that were very good. The first time that
you go onto the Helghast's side of the wall is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere and gameplay there is a lot of fun. And the final mission with Echo is really well done as well.
The problem is that there's a lot of other stuff that just feels like standard FPS gameplay in a really pretty setting. It's by no means a bad game, it just overall feels like FPS 101.

Those shots remind me of the end of Episode 2. When you're fighting the stalkers and shit in the pines.

This isn't Killzone though.
But it is by the same developer who made Killzone Shadow Fall. The game was simply horrible.

I agree. I actually liked Killzone 3 though, way better than Shadow Fall

Having played multiplayer from Killzone games, I don't agree. It's not horrible or anything, but I didn't think it particularly stood out. The new genre might help, but a new writer won't do anything to fix the gameplay from GG games that I usually find boring.

I'm hoping it's good, because I hope every game is good. But I have to agree with the people saying that the concept art is the part I usually find most interesting about GG games. I'm going into the game with cautious optimism, but it's hard to get excited by a game from a studio that hasn't made a game I liked yet.

With with John Gonzalez on board the story will be solid in this game. Killzone still has one of the most mishandled storylines in gaming. The lore behind that series is incredible, but the games do such a bad job of letting you in on it.

Thats also the reason this project seems so refreshing. I always loved the Killzone universe. When the first footage of SF arrived I really hoped there were moment where you could just explore and walk around. The backstory of Killzone is wonderful as well but underused ingame. These are all things that basically come naturally in the type of game they are creating now. We know GG can do tech and have weighty feeling combat, now just give me a world I can explore and with the writer of Shadows of Mordor and Fallout New Vegas I finally hope that the backstory is intertwined with the game.

It was an ok 5/10 game, Killzone 2 and 3 are way better. BTW I just loved shooting Helghan civilians in Shadow Fall, I killed every unarmed civillian I saw, it was hilarious!
