This final fight brought memories of when I used to make a couple of AMVs of their final fight from part 1 when I was younger. Decided to make this for Part 2s final fight even though its pretty amateurish lol.

That was great, the animation was beautifully done. I am a little disappointed though that most of the new stuff they added to the fight was all cool sauske stuff and nothing for naruto.

Too bad they already used this variation of the main theme in The Last movie.

Sasuke has always been the best at taijutsu.
BPS was wrecking Naruto Asura clones in the manga as well. They extended the taijutsu at the beginning though.
Minato and Kushina are after Jiraiya. Final hands are Sakura.
And it makes sense. Naruto has mostly been brute force since the beginning of the series while Sasuke has more polished skills. Add to that that the Sharingan is supposed to allow other people moves (Naruto can do the uppercut and avoid Sasuke's Chidori because he runs out of chakra and his Sharingan vanishes)
I don't really think Sasuke being on par with Naruto is weird. An EMS is pretty dope, as we saw in the battle between Hashirama and Madara. Add to that the fact that he had Nagato's powers (even though he doesn't use much of them) and you have quite a killer combo.
IIRC, the Sage of the 6 Paths had two sons, right? The brains and the muscle.

Isn't the tailed beast a sort of analogy to nuclear weapons? This is 1:1 the old nuclear proliferation style extremism? Tailed beasts and Kage are powerful weapons that can level countries. Taking them away evens the playing field from having one country destroy another.
And the argument FOR tailed beast and kage is that classic nuclear detterane with mutual assumed destruction.
Sasuke is the archertype for a classic idealistic political terrorist.

I got it but at the same time the show took time to attach personalities to the nuclear weapons, so these things aren't soulless inanimate objects. He'd just be murdering more of Naruto's friends.
Sasuke is such a taijutsu monster, I loved that part of the fight. I always found the way Sasuke fought to be choreographed better and visually appealing compared to Naruto's. It easy to see that Sasuke spend way more time training and learning how to string his abilities together, his moves are practically seamless.
Sasuke has EMS + one Rinnegan. That puts him maybe slightly above Itachi and similar to Pain.
Naruto, specifically war arc Naruto who was already above that level has SM(which alone is enough to counter the rinnegan), full tailed beast mode with the other bijuu chakras, and the S06P power. Its honestly not close.
His Susanoo is definitely closer to Marada's than Itachi's though.

Killer Bee and Naruto needed Edo Itachi's help to fight a healthy Edo Nagato. Sasuke's rinnegan is better than Madara's and his EMS puts him above Itachi.
While this is true, it only took Hashi SM + Mokuton to defeat Madara and the full Kyuubi.
Naruto did not have full tailed beast mode, he and Kurama were still not friends. Naruto with simply SM beat Pain without Edo hacks. SM has always been the counter to dojutsu.
Sasuke's rinnegan is not better than Madaras either lol, manga clearly states you need two. Madara figured out how limited Sasuke's Rinnegan was instantly. Also I said he was above Itachi.
I was just checking out the Manga to compare it to the Anime and I noticed that 698 isn't even fully adopted in the anime. It's like halfway through it, when they fire the last Rasengan/Chidori and the statues get completely destroyed.
So, it's not only 700 left to be animated, but also the last part of 698 and 699.

This also perfectly illustrates one of the reasons why I think the part 1 battle is better. There's so much more movement in every frame of the part 1 battle. And I don't mean movement in general, I mean movement within the frame, so lateral movement, vertical movement, depth. The part 2 battle looks so stiff in comparison.

So good, I really loved the part when Naruto just smiles at Kurama before the fist bump and the old theme is playing. Sooooo many feels.
The Nine Tails is stressing out about the fight and chakra remaining etc and Naruto is just like "Bro." and Kurama is like "Heh that's right, it's Naruto."
And then the hand's helping make the Rasengan, dem feels again! Itachi even now still couldn't not help his little brother, such a good big bro. :'( :'( Itachi. <3

I guess I can see where they trying to go with Itachi helping Sasuke on the chidori/enton combo but I think it actually clashes thematically with the manga. Sasuke is going against Itachi's wishes and sayings really. Sasuke is trying to cut away Itachi and the rest of his past.

Those talking about Naruto v. Sasuke power levels in this fight should remember that Naruto did most of the heavy lifting in the Kagura fight. Sasuke hung out in the desert for half the fight and then flew around in Susanoo a bit while Naruto was engaged with her the entire time, throwing out really high power moves against her.
So we're talking a not-peak Naruto who isn't trying to kill his opponent vs. Sasuke + Tailed Beasts who's going all out. And they were still even.

More like Naruto + Kurama + part of the Tailed Beasts (seems like many have forgotten how they partly reside in Naruto and lend him powers) vs Sasuke + part of the tailed beasts (only during BPS)
That fight was the shit.
The starting sequence where they start to fight mano-a-mano without jutsus (well there are jutsu after like two minutes) with absolutely no music was so immersive. It was perfect.
My friend's eyes that usually doesn't give a fuck about Naruto didn't left the screen for a second. That shit was just legit good.
The music when Sasuke got his perfect Susanoo during the second episode, that was hype as fuck too.

Yeah this too. There was alot of plot nerfing to make this a fight. Sasuke with all his powerups couldnt even touch Kaguya. Naruto was wrecking her when he got serious.
Naruto was screaming the whole fight that he wasnt trying to kill Naruto. He only had to use his full power to counter Indra's arrow but was still maintaining that he wasnt gonna kill Sasuke.
Sasuke had the TBs power for all of one attack. Naruto has SM, .5 Kurama, other bijuu powers plus the yang seal.

C'mon dude Naruto had to use that move or else He would have been dead for sure. He Held back at the begining and even Sasuke said that.
Narutos strongest attack is the 9 Bijuu rasenshuriken that he wrecked Kaguya with. If he hit Sasuke with that it wouldve been over. He had a Bijuu dama point blank in Sasuke's grill and hesitated. There's really no argument that he was using full power.

The intent to kill..which is what Sasuke was doing. So...just like when he could've put a tailed beast bomb in sasuke's susano face and chose not to. He played defensive most of that fight.
He's trying to save his friend...not beat him.
Sasuke plays right into Naruto's brute force style. Cause Sasuke himself likes the big finale move. Even Naruto's tricks were half assed in this fight.

I don't know what's the big deal who would win in a fight between Naruto and Sasuke. We all know Sakura would beat both of them at the same time easily. She was always the best and most strongest fighter.

As much as these two been through during the war, I'm surprised they both didn't collapse on their way to the Final Valley
Great fight but they nerfed the shit out of Naruto. There's no way Sasuke could keep up with a cloaked Naruto nor could he withstand the strength of a combination of that while being nature infused. A single block from one of his attacks would shatter Sasuke. Excellent fight none-the-less.

Is there any site that goes through the different music cues used in these episodes and what OSTs they're on? I want to go on Amazon JP / CD Japan and buy some music. Say what you will about the quality of animation at times, the music has been pretty great throughout (with a slight tilt towards the original series). When the shamisens kick in during The Martyr... yes. A thousand times yes.

Naruto held back by playing defensive at the beginning sure. He wasn't holding back some secret power, and in fact used all of his power to just stalemate Sasuke.
That Bijuu bomb wouldn't do much to BPS and Sasuke stood still waiting for Naruto to do something as well. Its not like he had Sasuke defeated there.
Sasuke could only use the bijuu for one move, they arent part of his repertoire. Naruto countered the strongest attack Sasuke could ever hope to come up with and then Sasuke loss all use of the bijuu.
Again, up until the last blow Naruto is literally screaming he's not gonna kill Sasuke. Sasuke during the fight is desperately going back and forth in his head trying to figure out something in his arsenal that can kill a defensive minded Naruto. I really don't even see an argument here. Again, Naruto smashed Kaguya in RSM with Taijutsu and the 9 Bijuu rasenshuriken. He does any of this to Sasuke, who couldnt even land a blow with even PS, and Sasuke is dead. Its really simple.

Was that Madara's first appearance ? I think you might be talking about episode 322 since there's a Deep Forest Emergence (?) technique right at the end there.

Just to add:
Every time Sasuke got near Kaguya she would just slap his Susannoo into pieces and Naruto had already been fighting non stop in the war for a day.
You can see Naruto is weakened already at the start of the fight as he's only got 3 truth seeking balls.
I was however under the impression that Sasuke got a big power boost from SoSP to make him more on par with Naruto.

Yep, you can see the refinement of skill and technique in Sasuke's case. Naruto very clearly has great ability but you can see the foundation of his Taijutsu is akin to his very early childhood of brawling and scrapping. It is neat that it hasn't completely gone away (for thematic purposes) but it does make his Taijutsu rough around the edges. Plus, he simply isn't as skilled Sasuke.
We did see that, despite Sasuke's eye power, he can be overwhelmed by Taijutsu though (fight against Killer B and Raikage). So, the person just has to be incredibly good at what they do. With the level of Sasuke's eye now, however, I think even the best of the best would struggle. Might Guy could get it done though!

Killer Bee was for starters physically overwhelming and Sasuke had so many swords being swung at him in one go that he didn't even know which ones to even keep track of if I'm not mistaken. The Raikage was pretty powerful and quick and if I'm not mistaken durable. Even if Sasuke did hit him he couldn't hurt him. Though now I'm quite sure he's way more powerful than those two. I guess Might Guy has more experience than him, but I do wonder if he could beat Sasuke at it. Does Sasuke have to turn off his eye hax?

What bothers me about this is that Itachi would never support Sasuke.
He should have been the last hand on Naruto's side since he entrusted Sasuke's redemption to Naruto.
The Sage only gave them new abilities to use. As far as their powers went, Naruto was way, way, waaay ahead of Sasuke.
Sage Mode Naruto would beat EMS Sasuke, KCM Naruto would wreck, and it wouldn't even be fair if you'd consider BM Naruto, or BSM Naruto in that equation since at that point he was deflecting multiple Bijuudama bare-handed.
Kishimoto very clearly nerfed Naruto by the time he came to blows with Sasuke because he'd been layering so many power-ups on Naruto it just wasn't a fair fight at that point, and even then Naruto held back right up until the point Sasuke used the power of all the bijuu.
EoS Naruto vs EoS Sasuke was basically SSJ3 Goku vs Majin Vegeta.

Well, you would think the same would happen again against Killer B, yeah? He would still have numerous swords to keep track of. I just think it was more a matter of Sasuke not being able to keep up with Killer B's swordplay with his Sharingan at the time. If he fought him again, I think he would perform much better with just his base Sharingan and Taijutsu.
Sasuke can use base Sharingan and Taijutsu against Guy. I think Guy can still take him. Madara put Guy over for a reason.
