Some details from the movie are beginning to leak, figured I'd get this thread up. Reviews should show up by the start of next week.

Drax is actually Thanos.

I'm just hoping that GotG 2 does even more universe-building than the first movie did, which was a ton.

Just came out from this. Still kind of processing it, but overall, I really enjoyed it :D

The first act was a little teetering from almost too-much-cutesy humour but it righted itself part way through the movie and found its rhythm. They fleshed out the sisters very nicely, I think. Nebula really came into her own in this movie. And the father-and-son-and-fosterfather dynamic was delivered quite nicely.

Great music, too.

There's like 4 or more cutscenes at the end, so keep watching until the credits are all gone, when you go see this.

Any twists? I heard one of the guardians turns on them or leaves, is that true? And what were all the mid-credits/after credits scenes?

Back from Premier showing (Sydney). Freaking loved it, 10/10 and the cinema was sold out.


Music was better than the first.
So.many.cameos - Stallone AND Hasselhoff??!!
Story took a while to get going and 3rd act felt rushed but overall a much more sombre and family orientated sequel.
Kurt Russell reveal as a Celestial was obvious but super well done.
The team had great chemistry especially between Nebula and Gamora.
Drax remains the funniest character in Marvel Universe.
Loads of Baby Groot - do not mess with him.
I missed the credit scenes as Wife wanted to leave so will catch on YouTube.
SFX incredible.
Yondus time on screen was well used and his death didn't have the impact they likely wanted but was well done, will be missed.

sorry im still kinda of bouncing about XD

uhhh twists, i didnt feel anything that was not telegraphed well. kurt russell was bad daddy and yondu was good daddy. like, literally, everyone could see that coming :x

so no, there was no 'twists' for me.

none of the guardians turned or left :O

and i just listed the scenes !!!

Vin Diesel, Ving Rhames and Stallone in a Marvel movie? what the hell.

Now I really really really want Stan Lee to be a Watcher who appeared in every movie just to check on the heroes.

5. Other watchers. Stan Lee is in a spacesuit. He's also in the film earlier talking to them, he said something about one time he was a postman.

1. His second in command from the first movie, not sure what his name was, sorry :/
2. It's basically the "original" Guardians of the Galaxy from the comics getting back together, excluding Yondu :)
3. Sovereigh High Priestess creates someone called "Adam" to take revenge on the Guardians, obviously implying Adam Warlock.
4. A parent to teenage Groot ;)
5. No idea. I heard the term "Watchers", I think?

Wonder if that means they struck a (bigger) deal with Fox (or Constantin). Surely they would take a deal now similar to the one for Spider-Man?

Lol, the Watcher thing is pretty cool. My only problem is that I can't stand Stan Lee's acting, it always takes me out of the movie, I prefer when he has silent cameos. But whatever, it's a fun idea.
