Cardi B- Bodak Yellow now the #1 Song in America (Billboard Hot 100)

She's a former Blood. She was fired from the Supermarket and became a stripper. If she wasn't cute yall would give two shits what she had to say. She got breast implants. She got ass implants. Let's be real. You can like her. Let's not pretend she's got some deep message. I don't like her. We can disagree. It's all good.
Except you didn’t mention any of that, you said she was unintelligent because she was a stripper. What does her getting breast implants mean anything?

Assuming all strippers are dumb is insulting for sure. Cardi B tho...just take one look at her Twitter feed lol

Whatever. No need to belittle the success of her song tho. It slaps at parties.

Honestly I would like this song way more if they actually dropped the beat a little more. The minimal bass doesn't do it for me.

Pretty much how I felt. Wake me up when we get something new, heard all this guff before a million times.

Some of y'all need to lighten up. Is this how y'all react when song like this play at the bar? Parties? It's a banger song, not meant to be some nuanced piece of art.

Anybody hating right now

Congrats to her, I just learned of her a few weeks ago and she comes off as genuinely funny. Key word being genuinely. And the single goes pretty hard.

Her song is good, though I think I’m skewed because I think she’s hilarious and authentic as they come. Grew up with a few Cardi’s, even got a cousin who’s super similar.

If I was at a party would I dance? Yes, however any other time I would not. Most people are not listening to it at parties though, otherwise it wouldn’t be #1.

Women love this song and TBH it's growing on me too. Chorus gets stuck in your head even though it's whatever.

Proud of her. I've been caught up on her when she first started getting popular through IG and Vine and she's just been moving up since then. She's got a real vibrant personality. I know tons of girls like that. She's just honest and she does spit facts from time to time. She deserves this.

Anyway, this song is pretty 🔥 even tho it's the same ~120bpm trap style that seems to be all the rage these days.

The fuck does any of this have to do with Taylor? Not even in the same genre or even going for the same audience.

More often than not, any song in the top 40 is competing for the same audience for the most part.

My girlfriend's friends been bumping this shit at every party I've been to in the past two months. Shit's catchy, not gonna lie. The song's kinda bland for the most part, but that last minute and a half hits HARD.

But man...some of these posts in this thread are embarrassing. You don't have to like the song but at least try to not sound dusty as fuck. The le wrong generation/WHAT HAPPENED TO REAL MUSIC (or real rap) squad is out in full force.

Song is whatever, but I like Cardi’s personality. She’s cool. I don’t think she’ll be a one hit wonder. Black and Hispanic females love her

Speaking of a better song, it’s been almost 20 years and I totally forgot that Doo Wop (That Thing) was a rap song. The only thing I could remember about it was the chorus. And it is also a much better song than Bodak Yellow.

Real talk, she seems like a chill person.

It sounds odd to say with no context, and especially in this one, but i think people with personalities like say CardiB, or 50 Cent, really demonstrates alot about how intelligence can crop up in multiple areas. Just flipping through interviews with Cardi without her trolling shows that she's clearly a smart person, just in a different kind of shell.

even someone like Desiigner, who sounds like a complete fucking moron. Assuming there's a business facade behind his mumbling persona? There's no way he isn't smarter than most people struggling to make ends meet doing the same hustle

These people are smart and go getters when it comes to how to make a dollar, she might not able to talk properly as she admits people make fun of her but she still making ends meet.

I hate the "won't somebody think of the children" mentality, but don't you think music like this normalizes aggressiveness and violent behavior? I like my dumb and sexy songs, that's ok, but maaan, this is the No1 single in america and I don't see the positive side here.

Old man yells at cloud I suppose.
It's not the words, it's the message. I don't think you'd be calm and collected if your daughter came home saying how that sad bitch Cindy is not fucking with her anymore at her school.

Hahahaha! This is the funniest hot take I've read all day. Thanks for that.

I take it you only play "E for Everyone" games right?
If you think videogames have the same cultural reach as the fucking No1 song on the billboard I've got a story to tell you. I'm an adult, too.

Whatever, you people like this shit, you do you, but then don't come posing as outraged people when intolerance acts are committed on the news or somebody calls you a "sad bitch" on the streets, I mean, it's normal now, so suck it, I guess.

Good for her but I have to ask. Is this a Lil B situation where people like her jokingly and pump her up. Because she may be one of the worst I've ever heard. Even garbage like Migos bumps a little bit

Remember "My Neck, My Back"? You know how much of a club banger that song is to this day? You know how everybody's ass drops straight to the floor when that song comes on?

This is that type of music. This was made for the club with a message of feminist empowerment sprinkled in.

Baby, you didn't listen to more than one line in this song. The song itself isn't even violent. It's aggressive, but not violent.
