Flareon too, but there's something about Pyroar that reminds me of Arcanine as well. I know it's more "lion/cat-like" while Arcanine is a wolf/dog, but every animal with a touch of fire reminds me of Arcanine in a way

Still, nothing will ever beat this design. It was GameFreak at their best...

That said, looking forward to Tyrunt's evolution.

His legs are weird, they look thick and strong but doesn't seem like they bend well and the fingers are too separated for it to kick precisely. He looks weird for a Fighting type.



Give them time, as often with Pokémon. It's best to give everything the benefit of the doubt since some things grow up with you.

If after a while you still don't like them then at least you aren't flip flopping.

I am, I'm not boycotting the game or bitching about it. In fact I pretty much loved everything about X and Y other than the mega evolutions. But the pokemon in the OP just didn't resonate with me, not a single one (Not even mega garchomp), and Mewtew having two mega evolutions just... I just don't like it.

The games will be fantastic, I can already say that much. But ... eh.. On the other hand, as you said I need to give it time and play with those mega evolutions to give my final verdict.

Agreed. Mewtwo X's feet are so disgusting and its body looks like a very badly drawn version of original Mewtwo's.

Mewtwo Y, on other hand, has some originality in its design and it looks very sleek and awesome, just the way I like my pogeymanz.

I will would be satisfied with megas for the Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Johto and the two left Hoenn starters + one for Sableye (since Mawile got one, I think he deserves one too). I'd like megas for the monkey trio too, but I don't think are necessary.

Judging from their appearances (stated before), Quilladin looks like a knight, Braixen looks like a mage and Frogadier kind of reminds me of a thief.

I like Yveltal a lot. It's seriously great. In almost any other gen, it would be the best legendary, hands-down. It's a shame it had to be pitted against the most freaking majestic rainbow antlered stag to ever grace the six regions of PokéEarth.
