It was pretty weird and hilarious that we referred to each other by our GAF names.:D hell no-one even knew my dads name, he was just known as "Lafiel's dad" :lol

There's a bunch of cosplayers in the food court, and they've reminded me what I dislike about conventions. There's a certain breed that has absolutely no spacial awareness. Sailor moon and soul eater started glomping in front of the counter and speaking faux Japanese. I just wanted to buy my lunch;.;

I know Ive said this before, about how much halo 3 was a letdown bordering on rubbish. But halo 4 at least being a fresh start might be worthwhile if they have some actual writers on board.

I have no love left for the series, but I bet that 343 does a better halo than bungie ever did.

It's the same principle as any other "harvest" type event a la Signs by Mr "That's the Twist".

The problem is that Lindelof is so ham-fisted and un-subtle at handling metaphysical concepts that it really grates and diminishes anything he touches. Prometheus was a great film, for example, but his little dalliances with the topic were the worst parts of the movie.

Lost was ridiculous too. I only ever watched maybe 10 episodes total, whilst on nightshifts, and fuck me was that terrible writing. I remember thinking "I bet they end it all with an 'it was only a dream'" cop-out and they did. I read the spoilers of the final when it was all the rage and boy did he make a meal out of that one.

'Rapture' stories are intellectually hollow fluff pieces right up there with Twilight fanfic and anything that follows 'The Heroes Journey' to a T (I'm looking at you, Avatar).
