Good news to hear that Capcom is "listening" to fans.
Capcom, listen to this... Trojan.
:lol I see what you did there.Jocchan said:I love their faux retro covers!
There will be an Easy difficulty setting, but aside from that it should be like any other Mega Man game.Classic_Gs said:This is awesome, but will it be hard as hell though?
watWhy would you do that? said:I flipped out.
I love the 8 bit Megaman games, not for nostalgia reasons, but I feel like that they are the best mechanically... Megaman is small, so you can see around you well, and he feels light, agile, and powerful. In Megaman 7 and 8 and X series, I felt that Megaman (X) was big, slower, and clunkier.
Some of these reasons are why I like the NES game Kirby's Adventure over its GBA remake, Nightmare in Dreamland. The enemies and Kirby were just way too big in the remake.
Do you mean the one on this page? Cause that's not the real one. Jocchan edited it.:lolChoppasmith said:Wait, just looking at the retro cover, who the heck is that guy near the top supposed to be? Could it be Cossack (it seems more like him with the glasses rather than Dr. Light)?
Yup, it was just an innocent stealth 'shop.The_Technomancer said:Do you mean the one on this page? Cause that's not the real one. Jocchan edited it.:lol

Yeah, I agree.
Lord, I can't understand the love of ZX. I bought ZX Advent after being told how it was a great MegaMan game and I haaaated it. Awful game.adversesolutions said:Sorry but I must say no to this.
Give me a new ZX for DS. Like SOON.

To me it's gameplay -- this is the true reason why it's better than their 16bits counterparts.
Now use a little imagination and imagine a Megaman that has this wonderful 8bit gameplay in a wonderful 2D world looking 16bits or better, all in 2D. That would simply trounce other megamans not only in gameplay but in visuals as well.

Can you imagine the meltdowns if Nintendo did this
I disagree, because I feel that the NES Zelda and Metroid aren't the best in their series and are very antiquated.beelzebozo said:now if only nintendo would release a new ZELDA and METROID on wiiware with this mindset

The NES Megaman games, on the other hand, hold up very well today, and I'm pretty sure many say that they were the best in the Megaman original series. I love Zelda, but seeing a Zelda go back to the NES days would almost be like someone making a new Adventure in 2600 style, at least to me.
