As for the fight, I've seen worse stoppages. Just because he has a reputation for being able to take punishment, doesn't mean you can just mindlessly let him go on with a 3-inch cut right above his eye, and one below it....particularly when he's up against someone who completely outclasses him in the striking department. Diaz needed a miracle anyway. It's not good entertainment wise, but that's none of the doctor's concern.
