Its like Konohamaru running around trying to solve a 'mission' using intel from dumb kids who make it seem like its gonna be an attack on the village but turns out they're just a traveling circus lol.
Sooo zzzzz but thats ok episode is finished now wrapping things up.... or so you thought, just when you think it couldn't get any worse or random as f**k.... SUMO ATTACK!

Naruto's good stuff is REALLY good IMO so it doesn't bother me too much really.This Kakashi filler arc is gon be good judging from this episode. His coping with Rin and Obito's deaths is going to be a big part of this arc and I like that. Guy is funny and cool as always. It's so weird seeing Hiruzen with hair since we always see him with a helmet or hat on haha.

I thought this ep seemed out of place while watching, but hearing you all say it's filler makes perfect sense now. Hopefully it doesn't last long. This will give me time to catch up on Titan, as I'm only two episodes into it.

I know Jiraiya became a hermit and left the village etc but he must of been sad to learn about Minato and Kushina and wished he was there to help. Probably why he came back to begin with I guess? To watch over Naruto.
Did he even know Minato became Hokage? These are the things I want to know!
Its like when he didn't even help the 3rd against Orochimaru, he was there, just was doing other stuff. >_>
Anyway, next episode looks cool as well. Yamato and the 1st stuff. I really like these Kakashi episodes even if they sorta just put everything on pause to show them.

I never thought about that. He doesn't even really talk about Sarutobi's death that much and he was his teacher.
Lol finally found the Naruto thread on Gaf. It seems this thread is so old that it never got an OT like the newer ones.
However, if Naruto Shippuden had a current style OT, it'd be like this:

Seriously, this is one of the most drawn out shows I've ever seen. It has moments of brilliance, but held back so much by filler and constant flashbacking.
Anyway, I'm burning through the last 50 or so episodes until Dark Souls II comes out. When the action gets going though, the show does deliver. I'm currently at the spot where Naruto is about to fight Tatewaki but the show got sidetracked by like three different flashback episodes.
However, if Naruto Shippuden had a current style OT, it'd be like this:

I really need this arc to be over so we can finally hear that DISH ed, its going to be good because I CAN HEAR was one of the best Naruto Shippuden ED in awhile, though most are pretty good.
This arc has been all over the place, most episodes have actually good content when focused on Lord Orochimaru/Danzo/Sarutobi-sensei and somewhat on Yamato, but the original character and their plot and kekkai genkai was a bit on the duller and painful side.

I'm enjoying them as well, though I've never been one to turn down more of something I enjoy. I consider "filler" to simply be another conduit into a world I've spent time in, so I'll happily take more especially if they're done with thought.

Kind of confused at why they are doing that, my that time they will be at about 55chps behind the manga, and could at 3chps an episode catch up in 18 or so of them. Perhaps they will keep doing fillers until fall.

Aren't they already 63 chapters ahead ? Seems like we left canon 3/4 through the 607.
Caught up on fillers. I love how Sarutobi doesn't even care Danzo tried to assassinate him and Kakashi. Some quality leadership that.

Except Gaiden wasn't filler.
It's pretty bad IMO. The premise had potential but it was wasted by sloppy writing and lackluster production values. Generally don't expect anything other than standard filler quality.

Hashimada and Sasunaru for the OP was incredible with the way they did it. Song was on the weaker side. The ending from DISH was incredible. Second DISH song for Naruto Shippuden and its just as catchy as I CAN HEAR was.
Episode had good content, Sasuke was incredibly adorable in the scenes and the Itachi younger was pleasing.
Animators for the ED and OP though performed one of the more offensive atrocities in animation and ought to have corrected the mistakes Kishimoto made in the writing department for part of this arc and even having the nerve to put that scene on one of the covers. We didnt need to be reminded in both the OP and ED of that terrible event occurring which even Naruto forgot.

Shes always in the way stealing screentime from Sasuke and other characters lusting after Naruto and never doing anything unlike Sasuke who makes it a point to making sure he is in the line of sight of Naruto and wholly open for his feelings for him. Hinata never had a chance and will never even as much as Kishimoto tries to throw her there.
Really enjoyed that.

Yeah, that whole scene was animated great. It took me a minute to actually realize he had used Izanagi to pull off stealing Shisui's eye.
This 'filler' actually isn't that bad considering what they're covering is actually, or should be, canon details that were never covered (especially regarding Shisui).
