Metal Gear Solid V Day one and Collectors editions announced

No way! Can we get confirmation if that's the 1/2 scale one? That's too small

Do we know if the build quality on both arms is the same? I don't (much) mind the half scale thing, but if it's cheaper and lacking in detail compared to big brother then that's unfortunate.

Looks pretty equal, the smaller arm is a little bit brighter with the orange colour in my opinion but that's it.

Got mine payed in full last Friday and payed the $12 to have it arrive on release day. Kind of bummed about the 1/2 scale but two times more arm for three times the cost isn't a great deal to me. Still going to use the 1/2 scale to hilarious effect where I work.

"Never said I wasn't a hypocrite."
I'm all in for the half scale arm because I don't want something as big as the full-size on my desk.

But even I'll admit, I'm less than pleased seeing the two together like that. The 1/2 scale seems to dinky.

Any word about the console yet? I just found out it will be a Global release, but so far pre orders only in Asia for the time being?

So I'm starting to think that the CE will be available through only Gamestop and Amazon, since the MGS5 site was updated with the sellers that had the regular/day one edition and the CE:

http://www.konami.jp/mgs5/tpp/en/products/index.php5

I could totally be wrong and maybe that'll change soon, but I'm guessing if Best Buy was one of the sellers for the CE, they would've had it available by now. Shame because I could really use that GCU discount, oh well in any case I still at least have my Amazon pre-order.

Edit: Then again, Best Buy Canada has it and they're not listed as CE sellers on the site.

That small huh. Maybe it can hold my pen..? Or something? Butt scratcher?

What a piece of shit collectable, I'm still angry we don't get a Metal Gear or even a Snake statue.

yeah, probably get away with a pen or a piece of paper or something as small. I can't say for certain as I don't work for Konami and I don't even have the item but I'm basing my judgement on the pics.

Personally, I'd have prefered a MGS figure or a swish artbook >.> Oh well, I've got until September to decide if I still want the CE.

I posted this in a different thread in a community BBS,
and I'm not sure if this rumour deserves a thread but is anyone aware of the rumour that Kojima Production might disband after MGS5?

Either way, I can't seem to post a new thread probably because I'm new here,
so I thought I'd post in this thread.

This started popping up today and people started saying,
Koji-Pros logo is gone from the official MGS website.
And Koji-Pros twitter account is also being deleted and is going to move to metalgear_jp.
And one more interest thing is that Kojimas name is gone from the Konami Personnel list.

I'll quote some Tweets between Japanese users regarding this.

Someone mentioning that there isn't the Koji-Pro logo on the MGS official website anymore.

https://twitter.com/524Ryo/status/578487011801075712

Someone posting a public document of the Konami Personnel list and mentioning Kojima isn't on the list anymore.
https://twitter.com/bubble_sayu_ken/status/578493324941635585

Someone summarising the situation.
https://twitter.com/anesa0204/status/578498825150541824

A person named "Junk-Hunter Yoshida" (he seems to have a Japanese wikipedia page on him)
mentions that this will be the final year of major Japanese devs moving away from consoles
and also mentions that Koji-Pro might disband after MGS5 releases.
https://twitter.com/Yoshidamian/status/577761486358982656

If this deserves a thread, could someone make one?

It looks like Best Buy pre-orders are also ship-to-home only. Seems incredibly unlikely that any retailer will have these in their stores at all.
