WWE Mafia |OT| Royal Rumble Superstars of Wrestling MMXVI

Though surely utility/danger is the most important thing to base the choice on? Anyone who's got the most votes is going to be the most suspicious to the collective group.

That's not a bread crumb he's just saying what his role name is... which... is pointless?

Well he's using the breadcrumbs to prove his role name, which happens to be that of the biggest wrestler of an era, and saying that that is a town power role. So it's not nothing.

The one where the first letter of each line spells out words relevant to the rocks wrestling persona? Then yea I guess I don't understand what a bread crumb is.

A bread crumb is like if you're a vigilante you post some reference to the person you're going to shoot before the day ends so you can point to it later and say "I did that look where I made this reference."

or if you're the doctor you make medical references (bad idea never do this) or you make references to the people you're going to heal so you can point to the references later and say "I did that look where I made these references."

ultron87

Of course, all it shows is that he had the idea/plan of claiming the Rock a couple days ago, instead of just now. So it isn't that compelling.

Yeah sorry for making a huge mess in the thread but did retro really confirm he was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a town power role?

Alternatively, it can be hiding a catch phrase of some other identifying remark in a previous post that you can later point too. Obviously it didn't pan out that way since he was probably planning on pulling it out on some other day that isn't day 1. You can breadcrumb role names as well as powers bats.

And no I'm not taking his role at face value, just like I'm not taking squids at face value. But if we have the ability to check someone it would be dumb to not take that into account on the chance that it's not a lie.

Role names alone are not helpful in this specific game though. Anyway disregard me I was missing some critical information.

I am for a Retro Lynch, but doesn't anyone else find it wierd that there's an influx of votes under the idea that Squidy will use his ability even though he has yet to even comment on the situation?

I can't be the only one, right?

If Squidyj flat out refuses, the votes will possibly change. I consider a vote on Retro to just be a sign that you approve of Squidyj checking Retro.

If it's the same as Election, he can only check the vote leader.

Given that we have a little over more than a day left I wanted Retro to be in the clear majority so Squidy at least has the opportunity to use his ability without a ton of quick vote rearranging having to happen.

3 situations.

No scum.

Both scum.

One scum, one town.

If we have a day cop to use and then our lynch, I think we should use it on the person you find less suspicious (if split even then I think PR possibility should play into it, which Scrafty this wouldn't be a tip to claim. At least not unless squid actually says this day cop use is a go). Cop clears them then we lynch the other. Worst case there is both are town and we lynch a townie, which is pretty par for the course for day 1. But it gives us information on the person who we are suspicious of but not most suspicious (cause we should just lynch that person).
Ok, it took you a few posts to get there, but this does make some sense. I think
You could also see the collection of quotes by Cabot from Scrafty which allude to similar facets of the rocks personality. By no means is it a hard or even soft claim, but it's close enough to give me cause to vote on day 1.
But now you've lost me again. You're voting Scrafty for maybe breadcrumbing the Rock? That was never the suspicious part of her performance so far. Why is her alluding to the rock more than all of Retro? Why is it damping at all?

No I'm voting for Scrafty for being generally aloof in addition to the faux rock breadcrumbing. It's a contributing factor but not the only reason. I think retro is also suspicious. And I think it's damning for both to be at the least hinting at the same name yes.

What do you think about both of them being on the same team? they've said good things about each other, but is it a coincidence? Would two thereotical scum be so publically in love?

Mafia would be given fakes in a game where everyone seems to have a name, that would be extremely unreasonable if they weren't. And I don't think scrafty using rock phrases is alignment indicative at all.

Nah I'd be surprised if both were scum. Both town is a possibility, but then they wouldn't know they were on the same team.

But ok.

I just disagree here then. I don't see how them both hinting at the same role is damning.
The in addition to her otherwise lackluster posts was implied, sorry.

And do you think we have multiples of particular wrasslers running around in this game then?

No but I can't see two scum players hinting at the same role.

Although I'd love to see scum chat right now if that's what actually happened.

So either:
1) Scrafty had no intention of ever claiming The Rock
2) One of Scrafty/Retro is scum, the other is neutral. Both had the same list of fake claims and this is a hilarious coincidence.
3) Scum either have no fake claims (lol nin) or went off-piste (possible but personally I don't see this as likely. Especially with The Rock)

LA DIABLA needs to clear the air: LA DIABLA is not in any way affiliated with the wrestler formerly known as THE ROCK. Her affiliations shall remain shrouded in mystery until the moment arrives in which it is appropriate to reveal them.

In the meantime, LA DIABLA's vote shall remain on Magnumboy as he still seems suspicious in her eyes and would like to pose the question of who he'd want squidy to use his power on, if he believed such a power exists.

Could someone post a vote count?

It's interesting to me because scum almost certainly have fake claims, and it makes no sense for them to both breadcrumb the same role. I'm wondering if this is scum + neutral?

The overtly suspicious part is Retro not having a problem with Scrafty's posts, and in fact town reading her

Yeah I don't see Retro AND Scrafty being scum.

Also I sound like a broken record but both Retro and Ultron mentioned Squidy using his power to clear Retro. Which isn't possible because Squidy doesn't have that power.

No cornb we are playing nice until squid posts in the thread again with the explanation of why he's not going to use it. Sssshhhhh

Ok at this point I think it is a better option to have squid check on retro, since if both say they are power roles then we can be sure one of them is going to die and their role will prove useless.

BUT

I think we should put the votes on squid, not retro. Voting for Retro to force squid to check him is rather silly, its clear squid is not going to do tha. Squid also claimed that he won't reveal his role even if he is lynched, but lets be honest, he could keep on playing that card and we are going to get nowhere with him. Its not like he will die if he uses his power, because using it will make him a regular townie and scum will be reluctant to kill him, so it works on his favor,

We have 4 town claims so far. One double votes, one miller, one oneshot cop, and THE ROCK. Its clear there is no way we have 4 doctors, the miller should be safe and the one that double votes will not be killed this early.

Either squid uses his power to check on retro, or we get a seemingly random lynch on day 1 based on gut feelings, stuttering mannerisms and role playing.

Vote: Squidyj

I guess its going to stay there, voting No Lynch now that things are so heated its going to take us nowhere.

Lunch break over. Be back in like 5 hours. Hopefully squidy posts in that time lol.

"I don't want to use it today even on retro he's obvious scum"

SalvaPot, squid can't check Retro unless Retro is the vote leader.

I think it's implied that squid will gain votes unless he either complies or gives a damn good explanation

Retro is the vote leader right now. We can have votes on them, you know. Just keep Retro higher.

I actually do think there's a chance that Squidy is lying. I hope he's not. I'd really like him to not be. But I think it's possible.

Does any one truthfully believe him? I thought we fell into dirty liar and probably a town gambit or something camps?
