That logo is so good. Washington has jack on this.

Oh look. Plekanec scored.

getting fucked 5-0 in the first period by a non-playoff team when you're still in the race is really pathetic, like "I shouldn't resign here"-pathetic, if you know what I mean

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
McKenzie said Detroit isn't firing Blashill. Fantastic. Same thing I said years ago: this team will not succeed again with Holland at the helm.

Honestly. Detroit needs a couple of years of being bad. It sucks; but you can't sustain getting lucky with draft picks forever. And I think that the Detroit management and the coach is just what is needed for a good tank.

This is my favorite thing.

Dale Weise

Weise at intermission: "Hamonic kind of comes over and asks me for a fight. He’s a good Winnipeg boy so I thought I give him one there."

Dale Weise is a beauty. It's too bad he hasn't been good for Philadelphia this season

Couple years of being bad is guaranteed. Regardless of who is in net we are in big trouble on the D. Kronwall, poor guy, is playing on one good leg. On offense we still look to Z and we hope Larkin becomes the number one guy. We have a few difficult contracts of offense too. All this sets up a bad season next year at the very least.

As I watch this Panthers/Canadiens games I don't even feel bad for us. I feel bad for the Panthers. Poor Jagr and Vanek missing the playoffs. Losing their coach. Berra in net?!?! Ekblad dying right in front of us every other game it seems. The Panthers were supposed to be the young team that just needed a little more experience. Now they just suck and I don't even know what they should do with their roster.

Watson and McCleod tried to get their obligatory fights in.

All that resulted in was Watson in the box for roughing.

edit: Well that was fast

The Panthers had all the pieces to make it back to the playoffs this season if they didn't fire Gallant and didn't get hit by the injury bug. But now I think they need to tweak their roster a bit.

Firing Gallant might be the worst decision I've seen this season. Now he's probably going to Vegas.

I have tickets for a meaningful Blues / Predators game this Sunday afternoon. I sorta hate going to afternoon games, and the Cards home opener (vs Cubs) is a couple blocks away that evening, so it'll be a zoo downtown all day.

Should I ..

A) Go b/c it's a huge game and it's only traffic
B) Sell, be a bad fan, watch on TV
C) Fuck it, grab tickets for the Cards game too, and totally jack up my Monday
