The Last time you bought a game for $59.99 (Full Price)

With Amazon and BB GCU it's hard to even end up paying MSRP any more.

To go with the "spirit" of the question, it would probably be Dragon Quest 8 for 3ds at GameStop last year (wanted the DQ 3ds pouch) for full MSRP ($39.99). Paid like $8 more for it for the pouch.

I had the Zelda BotW LE pre-ordered at GameStop for full MSRP but I also had the SE pre-ordered at Amazon on discount. So the LE went to eBay (sorry, would rather have the extra $100 profit than a sword statue, the prices on that were ridiculous) and I kept the SE on discount.

I don't remember the last time I paid full price for a home console or PC game because of things like Steam sales and the Amazon Prime discount. I did buy a couple of games off the 3DS eShop, but the games on there are only $39.99 at full price.

The only times I've been willing to pay full price, they were handheld games, so they weren't $60, but I bought Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and Rhythm Heaven Megamix at launch.

Oh, some Limited Run Games releases, too.

On September 19th, 2016 I preordered Gears of War 4 at $59,99. Since then I have been buying everything on my local (Argentina) Xbox digital Store, where fortunately the prices of the games I have been interested in during this last year were comparatively convenient in spite of the exchange rate between dollars and argentinean pesos.

For example: I bought Dirt Rally, Dirt 4, and For Honor at launch for roughly $35. Most of the offers are also translated to pesos in a rather benevolent conversion, so I eventually got the complete digital editions of Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for about $20 or $25.

Had to have been over 3 years ago. Been using gcu @ best Buy for a while. Gonna have to think back. Must've been a wiiu game. Tropical freeze was my first gcu purchase.maybe it was 3d world.

I bought Zelda when I got my Switch. Nintendo games are easy buys at $59 since they rarely drop in price.

Also, good point, I've started pre-ordering games from Amazon since they chop off $12 for preorders.

Same, on both counts (except I usually go GCU since some generous GAFers allow free use of GCU discounts, and with BOTW I used some eShop cred I'd gotten at a discount - but same general idea).

Titanfall 2 on PS4 at release and then again on PC early this year.

Had no problem double dipping for Respawn. They're tier 1 developers and the support for the game has been incredible, despite the low player population.

2014? I jumped on the GCU discount at Best Buy a couple months after the PS4 launched. I did the B2G1 deal at Target the week of the PS4 launch. It might have been Infamous Second Son or maybe even as late as Destiny? I just know Destiny was the last possibility.

Do you mean actually paid full price? Destiny 2 DE (digital) but considering I get most of my XBL credit at 20-30%off face value I am not sure that counts.

I had store credit, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

If we're only counting RAW CASH...hmm...probably Zelda: BOTW, although a considerable amount of credit went toward my entire Switch purchase that day, so who's to say what credit and cash each covered on that bill.

Pre-ordered Tekken 7.

NBA2K17 (sept. 2016) before that.

Getting MVC, Destiny 2, and NBA2K18 on launch day again. The most $60 games consecutively in a while for sure.

Breath of the Wild is the only one I've bought this year, most recent one before that was Pokemon Moon. If that doesn't count (cause it's only $40), then I think the next most recent was Splatoon.

Edit: Oh wait I just bought Cave Story on Switch but that's only $30.

Living in Mexico all the time, the last one was Persona 5 on the PSN for 59.99 USD, on retail you pay like 70 or 80 USD

Longer ago than I can remember. Even Zelda: BotW was at a decent discount.

I have Amazon Prime, so 20% off is the norm. I generally don't buy AAA games digitally, those all cost $60, right?

I just remembered: I definitely paid $60 for Diablo III and Starcraft 2, so I could get into the betas. No discount there.

Tekken 7. I have Prime but I refuse to buy physical copies of fighting games. The timing worked out with $100/15 on PSN.

Luckily everything I'm looking forward to until Fall is $40 or less unless I come around on Destiny 2.

Aside from special limited editions I had to order at Gamestop or the NISA store the last US game I bought full price was Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. I did import a Japanese Breath of the Wild copy for full price this year though.

GCU and Playstation Store sales have been very good to me.

Uhh... I guess importing Super Robot Wars V for $60 counts since all domestic releases I get with GCU. The last domestic game I got though was MK8 DX at the $48 price tag.
