Also, as a dude who has the minorest of roles in the games journo world I think both those articles did a good job of trying to show what this whole kerfuffle was to the public. Those articles weren't written for us.

Haunts well before that. After he was informed I was on WNF pre-show, talking to AJ on the phone and I decided to discuss it. Why would I ever drop a bomb like that on someone I considered to be a very good friend for 2 years and basically started his entire streaming operation? No way. I left IPW and the show because it was the best way to actually promote IPW. As I've said before, I never wanted to leave and it was a personal sacrifice to do so for the greater good of the FGC and it totally has been.

No offense LHK but there's like 100 hours of stream coverage. There's only so much you can ask of a single guy under time constraints. You're acting as if they had to have interviewed everyone involved and watch every hour of the entire show stream in order to post a legitimate article. It would be old news by that point.
I understand that many people are angry at these journos for not getting absolutely everything in there, but cmon. Just because you're more aware of a subject than someone totally new doesn't mean that their article is crap or irresponsible. It could be, certainly, but time pressure DOES matter, you do have to give them a little slack.
ALSO AN ASIDE: You the LHK from the DMC3 boards on Gamefaqs from way back?

The ranting on this stream is the kind of stuff that will just egg on the trolls. They don't do it because they care about a cimmunity. They do it to get reactions which they're getting big time with stuff like this.

There's definitely two sides to this whole thing, but there are some people who are so against the kinds of things that Jared has advocated that they're willing to take the worst interpretation of anything he says.
