New PS3 Exclusive Revealed Next Week On GTTV (Superbot's PS All-Stars)

Wow, this indeed looks like Smash to a startling shameless degree. Looking through the thread that looks to be good, bad, and both to people.

Well, if they are going to copy, hope they make it polish and well done.

As a Nintendo fan, this literally makes me sick. SSB is a staple of Nintendo, and it's not right for another company to basically copy and paste the game and call it their own. Hopefully Nintendo will sue or something, because this is so wrong.

What a silly outlook. I prefer to see it this way:

Smash has never had serious competition. Therefore, they've set ALL the rules about how it's "genre" of Arena, Multi-player fighting should play out. This is... kinda boring.

Some of the best changes to fighitng games came from SNK and Capcom's rivalry. (And the little guys who pecked at their heels, too!) They each went in their own directions, and brought new things the other would not have thought of.

For us, as consumers, this rocks! For them, as competitors, this also rocks, as "creativity" isn't restrained to simply resting on their own shoulders.

So let the ripoffs commence! Let Sony "prototype" ideas for the next Smash, and put a product into the wild, so Nintendo can take notes, and put their spin on them in Smash! Lets hope Sony continues their series, and does thie same. It's a good thing for everyone involved!

They're really doing it. Parappa the Rapper vs Kratos. All they need is Ico or Wander and this will officially be the dumbest crossover.

This thread is really delivering on entertainment value, I should have joined in earlier instead of hanging out in all those boring Nintendo threads bogged down with finances and junk.

Are you kidding me? After everything Nintendo stole from Sony....

The nerve of some people. This will no doubt annihilate any Smash Bros title.

I bet the final boss is that Polygon Head dude from PlayStation's first years.

It does look evil and boss-like

I'm just glad we get another SSB-like series. I can't imagine why people would not like another game with different characters.

This game was less similar to Smash than I had envisioned it. From what i saw, the moves seemed to have much more crazy range and it seemed like hand-to-hand combat wouldn't be as common as it is in smash.

From my vague memory of that game, this reminds me more of Digimon Rumble Arena than Smash.

Some people here seem absolutely furious over this. Better go check out some gameplay video. Any Youtube videos yet? I'm not at my pc.

Hope they go for alternative costumes that change the looks entirely. Like reboot Lara Croft and classic Lara or new Dante and old. If those are 3rd party choices of course.

Yes, let's continue to complain that the game uses a formula that has been duplicated well exactly 0 times since 1999.

Da hell wrong wit some of you people?

Smash Bros with Sony + 3rd party characters? WHERE DO I PREORDER

Hmm? Up to 4 characters, from different IP, fighting in the same arena with exaggerated moves and the ability to greatly defy gravity?

I think there have been quite a few games that have done that but simply not as popular. The first two that come to mind for me is the Naruto Gekitou Taisen series and Battle Stadium D.O.N.

But people only compare to what is familiar and Smash series is the biggest around.

Yeah, I don't get all the butthurt about it...

Sure, it may seem like a clone, but isn't that good? The Smash series is mindless fun and I'm sure this will be too.

Want to know why this will be good?

It's smash bros.
It's HD (meaning clarity of screen).
It'll have online that works.

Thank you based Sony.

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.

Oh shit I had forgotten that game, truly the best SSB clone right there.

My blood pressure is rising from all the sodium in this thread. Jesus Christ, over/under on the amount of time it takes for someone to start a STOP BATTLE ROYALE petition on change.org.

Or what I've been saying all over the thread:
Kinda. Doesn't look like Smash gameplay. It looks similar in..looks, but again, it seems to be closer to TMNT.

TMNT clip.

And I really liked this game, plus is a genre I like so the more the merrier. :p

Yeah. In theory it is like Smash but I think tactics will be different. The stages in this also seem bigger than many Smash stages, kinda like the more open stages like New Pork City.
