Man, Johnny Ace needs a tryout match before his big ppv debut against Cena. How great would it be for him to come out tonight or next and destroy Zack Ryder to show he's ready?

HHH's broken arm, it's complicated guys. It's all medically and mediciney, you wouldn't understand. Who doesn't begin rehabbing a broken arm days after it occurs immediately after surgery?

Updated line-up for ROH's Border Wars 2012 iPPV next Saturday;

ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Davey Richards defends his championship against "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen

ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
ROH World TV Champion Roderick Strong w/ Truth Martini defends againt "Belfast Bruiser" Fit Finlay

FIGHT WITHOUT HONOR FOR THE ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
Jay & Mark Briscoe vs Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin)

SHOWDOWN IN THE SUN - REMATCH
"Canadian Icon" Lance Storm vs "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett w/ Brutal Bob

CHALLENGE MATCH
"Die Hard" Eddie Edwards vs. "The Man Beast" Rhino w/ Truth Martini

Special Attraction
"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs Adam Cole

Grudge Match
Jay Lethal vs "The Dominant Male" Tommaso Ciampa w/ The Embassy Ltd.

Six Man Tag Team Match
The All Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) and "Technical Lightning" TJ Perkins vs The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) and "No Fear" Mike Mondo

Elgin vs Cole will hopefully be a ton of fun - as they're pushing both guys now, it should be pretty competitive and Cole will bump HUGE for Elgin. Also, I like that Roddy/Finlay is for the TV title now.

In other news, ROH released the Best in the World 2012 poster and may have spoiled the main event of Border Wars in the process;

I would be OK with that. There's no coming back for Ryder at this point, without a gimmick change - at least Big Johnny beating the crap out of him would be entertaining, unlike most of the segments he's been involved in recently, or his youtube show since WWE took it over.

Yeah, there's no coming back for the guy after the last 4-5 months where they've embarassed him almost every Raw. Team him up with Santino and have them compete for the tag titles. They can be Team Brobra. Johnny Ace beating him up would be funny, especially if he just comes out and destroys him as it would be so unexpected if he starts busting out wrestling moves.

SURPRISE RK... ACE CRUSHER.

would be so good if he just randomly does it to people backstage.

WWE is asking via poll what to name Kofi and R-Truth's tag team.

Unfortunately, Jimmy Achin' is not an option.

Those options are flipping awful, "what was the last team called? air boom right? okay then so AIR TRUTH! or maybe R BOOM, GENIUS!"
I'd sooner call them the Jumping Jimmy Jobbers.

LOS ANGELES – May 7, 2012 – CMT has inked a development deal with actor and former WWE superstar Steve Austin, tapping him as host of a new 10-episode series REDNECK ISLAND, it was announced today by Jayson Dinsmore, EVP, Programming and Development, CMT. Produced by 51 Minds Entertainment, REDNECK ISLAND takes 12 red, white and blue-collared Americans out of the South – and far away from cold beer – dropping them in a tropical paradise where they will compete for $100,000. The redneck-style competition series will debut in June, paired with a second season of CMT’s hit series MY BIG REDNECK VACATION. As part of his development deal, Austin will look to produce additional series for CMT with his production company, Broken Skull Ranch Productions.

“Steve Austin is a true creative powerhouse, both in front of, and behind the camera, and we’re happy to be in business with him,” said Dinsmore. “In our first project together, he’ll serve as host to the ultimate competition reality series on ‘Redneck Island,’ where he’ll oversee a cast of characters who attempt to survive hilarious and unpredictable challenges in unique redneck fashion.”

“I am thrilled to join the CMT family and for the opportunity to work with them on future projects,” added Austin. “I’m also excited to work with the great folks at 51 Minds Entertainment on REDNECK ISLAND. If there’s one thing I know, it’s how to keep a bunch of rednecks in line. And that’s the bottom line!”

REDNECK ISLAND begins with 12 men and women competing as teams in a fight for $100,000 cash. From a remote location, Austin will guide the contestants through a number of hilarious mental and physical challenges designed to celebrate the group’s strengths and limitations. At the end of each episode, teammates will send one competitor packing.

This sounds hilarious.

How many tag teams has Kofi been a part of?

side note: You know how you guys are saying push younger guys to the title picture? These guys aren't going anywhere for a good 5-6 years so you're going to have the same guys fighting for the title for YEARS. Orton/Cena all over again.

It's a matter of swapping around whose feuding with who, whose teaming with who. Like have CM Punk vs. D.Brine... and then have Swagger/Ziggler get involved. Suddenly you have D.Brine/CM Punk vs. Swiggler. But uh oh, Swagger and Ziggler have some in-fighting in their PPV match against Brine and Punk... so next PPV you have Swagger vs. Ziggler for the #1 contender spot. Bam winner goes onto feud against whoever has the title. The loser can go feud against the former contender or someone else. By the end of all that you may have someone you want up in the main event scene. Suddenly, Cody Rhodes is involved for the world title so you have a triple threat match! When was the last time there was a good triple threat match?

For some reason I feel like they are doing a shitload of rewrites for tonight's Raw and basically have no idea what's going to air. Usually they have some kind of preview up by now.

Unfortunately, WWE thinks it's fans are idiots so the name would have to be "Ghana, West Africa Get Got" and that doesn't roll off the tongue as easily.

Kofi is Jamaican, mon! He has dreadlocks and bright colors and smokes the weed.

Listening to the observer breaking news update, sounds like Golddust was fired for the finish of the tag match on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago between Darren Young/Titus O'neill vs Tatsu and Zeke. They apparently freaked out over the finish with Tatsu landing on his head and he was the one that supposedly suggested it.
Oh FFS.

Miz completely ignores catching Truth and he still gets to cut his duckface promos.

Letting rookies do a high risk move they haven't practised nearly killing a guy or missing a spot by a few centimeters.

Yeah, I can see how that's the same.

Also, they did not fire the wrestlers, but rather the guy that told them to do the spot.

Speaking of this, look what just came across f4wonline.com

"--Everything on tonight's show is last minute. As of Noon today, the show had changed twice since they had gotten off the airplane and later in the afternoon HHH and Vince were telling the writers about a third set of changes. "

What the fuck is wrong with them? This is why the product sucks, there isn't any booking, just spur of the moment shit thrown together.

We're going to get the following...
- Cena comes out, cracks some jokes, says he wants Johnny Ace tonight instead of waiting two weeks. Johnny Ace books a gauntlet match for no sensible reason where Cena will get Mr. Excitement in the ring for 3 minutes IF he runs the table.
- 15 minutes of slo-mo "Brock is a monster" highlights from last week complete with new & improved bone cracking sound effects and "serious voice" delivery from Lawler & Cole. We will get no highlights of Trips parading around in Vegas with Mayweather and they tease an interview with Trips for next week's RAW so we'll be all excited and tune in.
- Instead of giving us awesome promos with CM Punk & D-Brine, they'll trot out the tired bit where they pick each other's opponents for the evening. Punk chooses Big Show for D-Brine (ends with a Cody Rhodes run-in), D-Brine chooses Ziggles & Swagger in a handicap match for Punk (so they can introduce Ziggles' new bodyguard, Mason Ryan). They'll play up CM Punk's history with Ryan in Nexus and plant seeds for a WWE Title program after they blow off Bryan in a one-show feud so Over the Limit will actually get SOME buys.
- Sheamus will come out and tell an olde Irish folktale before beating Mark Henry in 3 minutes. There will be comedic shenanigans that follow after a botched run-in by Del Rio leads to Ricardo getting splattered. Cole will laugh uproariously at the poor Hispanic announcer while Del Rio grimaces in rage.
- Brodus Clay will come out, dance, squash Tyler Reks for the 3rd time and dances some more with young children.
- Some pointless divas mixed tag match featuring Layla & Kelly Kelly vs. Kaitlyn & AJ. AJ slaps Kaitlyn some more after they lose by roll-up.
- The endless Orton & Kane rivalry will continue so they can get another pay-per-view payday in two weeks in some stupid gimmick match. Probably casket... possibly Inferno or Steel Cage.
- Main event gauntlet match has Cena inexplicably mowing through Sakamoto, Tensai, The Miz and almost beats a returning Christian prior to Cena getting laid out by Otunga with a coffee mug. Johnny Ace does some more offensive moves (but not the Ace Crusher) and stands over Cena's broken and beaten carcass as the screen fades to black.

Actually, as lazy and half-assed as the above is, it's still light years better than the crap we'll actually wind up with. Think about that. ;)
