Feels so long since I've had a Nintendo stability update... looking forward to new Club Nintendo offerings and VC games.

Capcom needs to release NES Strider while they're on this VC shtick. I want that game so bad.
I think we know all the Capcom games for this year already and NES is only getting Gargoyle's Quest II and Mighty Final Fight. I'd like to see Strider too though, and some other random Capcom NES games like Section Z, Bionic Commando and 1943 make it yet. And if hell freezes over those Disney games and Willow too.

Theatrythm on Eshop? YES! That is one game that won't be leaving my system in a long while. Theatrythm 1 was my most played 3DS game yet and this one will probably hook me even more.

The only rerelease of the game was in that Capcom Classics Mini Mix on GBA. Worth tracking down if you can play it on DS Lite or GBA. Buy yeah, was one of my favorites as a kid and would gladly buy it on VC.

I'm hoping for something good also. I will have 1050 coins by the time I'm done filling out the surveys for my latest games. I want some NES games, but not SMB2 or Excitebike.

1 week to new digital rewards and 2 weeks to every single information of smash bros 3ds .... going to be a good month

Dahku Creations (developers of Wii U titles Chubbins and Soon Shine) are quitting game development and their post-mortem on the eShop
http://www.dahku.com/?id=blog&fn_mode=fullnews&fn_id=14
http://www.dahku.com/?id=blog&fn_mode=fullnews&fn_id=15

Interesting read. If they wanted to maximize their potential to make money, they should've made a new game rather than porting two mobile games. I also assume the developer they are talking about in the eShop article is RCMADIAX, and if that is true, I agree with them. RCMADIAX just keeps pumping out shovelware and complains when sales are lows.

Gives all the fucks
Hyrule Warriors and Curtain Call here. Good month.
Same here. Probably will get Street Fighter 2010 tomorrow, then Tappingo 2 this week, & then a few non-Nintendo titles (Danganronpa 2, P4AU) over the weeks as well. This is gonna be a busy, though enjoyable month. Just glad most of it is already paid for.

yeah I have some non-Nintendo games too like Danganronpa 2 and Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus. The latter got delayed to October in Canada but I'm counting it anyway. I don't really give a shit about these two though; I only got them because they have Limited Editions and I throw myself at those too often :x

how's Soon Shine? I didn't know that existed.

Last manual repost. You have to have 5 posts in the August thread, though. Spam away in that old thread? ;P

Instructions for participants:
I am giving away a Steam Wii VC key redeemable on Wii eShop or Wii U Wii-mode eShop. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below containing the game you want to enter for. Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.

ModBot Basics:
- This is a giveaway for the thread url: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=865784.
- This giveaway has a manual blocklist. The giver has identified members who abuse giveaways and restricted them from participating.
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (donny2112, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Rules for this Giveaway:
- If you are a lurker--if you have fewer than five posts in this thread--you are not eligible for this giveaway.
- If you won a game from ModBot in the last week, you are not eligible for this giveaway.
- This giveaway is a raffle. The winners will be selected by random draw 24 hours after the draw was created. Any games not claimed after that point will be given away first come first serve.

media create thread got me thinking about yugioh

Konami, you asshats. Can I have that GBC game on eShop at least? Was so fucking fun to cheese that game. Every 7+ star monster took only two sacrifices. If I'm lucky with my draws + no bullshit from the enemy, I can get a Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon out by 3 turns.

I don't think a single YGO game is available on PSN either. Not counting modern releases. I'm thinking of the PS1, PS2, PSP games.

Good luck asking Konami to put games on eShop or PSN!

Still waiting for Suikoden 2. How long has it been? Damn. :(

I second this. I still have my old copy of Forbidden Memories but I would love to play one of the GBA ones again. Only played a friend's copy as a kid, don't remember which one.

I got a small promotion in a job that I’m trying to get out of so I splurged my slightly increased income on four indie games recently.

Steamworld Dig - I grabbed this on 3DS when it was on sale and I’m glad I did. It’s short, real short, but I loved every second of it. It has a create your own map style of exploration and has a nice progression system.
I did think that the only boss was just the first one though.

I highly recommend it, especially since it’s on just about everything now.

Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails - I got this on sale too and I think it’s okay. I don’t love it, but I don’t exactly hate it either. I still don’t quite get the controls and I feel like it’s missing things that modern game design has fixed like short in-game tutorials. Also, I can’t tell which is supposed to be the main screen since the one on the TV zooms around when things get hectic but the tablet doesn’t pop up the kitty tips or whatever that is.

I can’t really give this a solid recommendation, but I’m still going to try to beat it.

Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition - The game combines two of my favorite genres: Metroid style exploration and progression and 2D beat ‘em ups. I love it! It has great style, it’s funny and it is really fun.

I wholeheartedly recommend this.

ShovelKnight - I don’t like this game nearly as much as the reviews I’ve seen do. It controls like an old game and has a pretty good style but the platforming is less challenging and more frustrating to me. It’s not bad, but it’s not a great fit for me. I’m almost finished with it but I doubt I’ll revisit it much.

The Fall game looks interesting and if Zero Mission comes out this month I’ll grab it

Dahku Creations (developers of Wii U titles Chubbins and Soon Shine) are quitting game development and their post-mortem on the eShop

Eh.. I don't wanna be that guy and I really don't want this to sound defensive or like an insult, but I must say I wondered how I had never even heard of these games. But then I realized it's probably neither of the two games came to Europe at all seemingly. I know the ratings can be a bit more costly, but still I don't think it makes sense to completely ignore the other half of the western market.

But anyway, interesting read. And while I do think eShop should be quite open, I understand their worries and partially agree. Especially with how a lot of people seem to be so quick to judge a game if it originates from mobile (which is really stupid, because there are a lot of good games on mobile devices too), but also partly about quality control. Fortunately Nintendo doesn't really promote those games that don't have any effort put into them, but still a lot of good games can get lost in the crowd easily.

That moving background tho..
