Shuuji is cool as heck and is voice by Hiyama Nobuyuki.

Episode 26 ended up being pretty nice for an original one.
One of the lessons about Adachi manga, don't judge people by their looks,
team deliquents was actually nice guys who play aggressively.
And people
die, actually he was already dead, but Adachi can't keep then alive.
Hideo is such a nice guy, he lends money, buy snacks, he sends his friend to pinch-hit at an outdoor concert with his girlfriend, then lends her to another when he needs and don't even worry about it...just a little. I was trying to remember where I saw someone who lost a homerun because he didn't step on all the bases because of Diamond no Ace and Raichi's teammates always nagging him about that...it was here.
Bitchslap was good.
And finally next episode I get to see Hirota from Eikyou.

To be fair, you and a lot of others in this thread sure do love watching anime even you yourselves consider shitty :p

I am curious, what are some animes that stand out in your mind as having especially strong dialogue?

On a more serious note, stuff like Bebop even something like Votoms has stronger dialogue than the stuff we get now.

The puchimas concert was very adorable. There were quite a few good scenes like the Tekken episode, but I think it falls a bit short of season 1. I didn't feel the ED matched quality of season 1's and a lot was sort of a retread from the first season. Also felt a little more haphazard compared to the last season

Not gonna lie, this ep would have been pretty great if it wasn't tied down by SAO. Near completely embraces the fantasy aspect with a great fight. Felt nice to be engrossed in the world if for just a bit given the lack of real life events in this one.

That said I know I'll be posting about SAO here. In part because I expect its own thread to be concentrated hate, but mostly because this is the only anime thread I acknowledge even existing.

The fight with Eugene is one of my favorites. Loved how he went back to what he knew, and made it work. There's a bit in the LN at that part as well that made me like it even more.

Finished Mushishi and loved the Hell out of it. Boring? Crazy talk. Great character, and one of the few plot-a-week shows I now adore.

I'm 2 episodes into Log Horizon. I'm confused where the tension comes from if you can't die in real life in this show. Simple question: will something introduce legitimate tension into this show?

I'm still optimistic about SAO. If it's anything like the first half, it'll be watchable at least.

Yes, but no one finds out until later. It's not quite as severe as "you die in real life" but I found it to be pretty good. Log Horizon is awesome.

Does any piece of media really have tension about the protagonist dying? Even Game of Thrones has characters with plot protection.

There can be stakes in a story without the threat of death being poorly used.

All I can say without spoiling too much is that not everything is as nice as it might seem.

But the main appeal of the show is to watch Shirou be a total scheming badass and how they work the economics of the real world into the game world. Which doesn't happen immediately at the beginning. Hopefully you're not expecting a lot of action, the show doesn't have that.

Dr. Tofu all head-over-heels for Kasumi was pretty hilarious. Best part was how the old lady bailed the fuck out when she came in and was talking to that other guy outside all like "Oh no, you don't wanna see him right now; Kasumi's in there" and he knew exactly what that meant.

Damn those two can really chow down their burgers. There's more romantic tension building between Ranma and Akane, but Ranma's struggling with it, saying dumb things he shouldn't say. Lol at the story his dad told him though. At least Ranma hasn't screwed up quite that badly. Yet.

I've watched five episodes today. I don't really know why. I'm enjoying it, but I really don't do five of the same series in a day often. I think it might be the OP. Catchy as fuck.

There's something kind of nostalgic about Naotsugu and Akatsugi's relationship. The whole slightly perverted comment -> overwhelming violence gag is really basic, but... I dunno. It's also weirdly pure. She's not tsundere towards him, she actually doesn't like him. I know where things stand. It's good.

It's interesting to see the world develop towards something less and less of a game.
