This dude voted 1600 times for his favorite girl. Seeing as she got 4th place and beat the other girl by 300 votes, it was money well spent from his end.
I'm watching the embedded video and I'm just... *facepalms*

That's not Tony Taka's fault!

If you tell me Takamura Kazuhiro or Urushihara Satoshi draw bad art, we'll have to declare each other arch-nemeses.
i don't really know who they and I'm too lazy to google for their stuff so ヽ( ´¬`)ノ

Here is a screenshot of the Oricon charts for this week. :lol

Yes, that really is 6 versions of the same single in the top 10. There's 3 versions and then there's the LE or regular edition of each.
I'm glad to see Man With A Mission and Asian Kung-Fu Generation in there.

just post some drawings dude
Hmmm I do like it when I get more followers on Pixiv...

Satoshi Urushihara draws amazing art - it's just that some of his girls have way too many fucking pubes for me (not that I mind this sort of thing), but it's like they're wearing shorts made out of pubic hair. If I wanted to see that much carpet I'd watch a JAV.

You know who I miss though? Mey Suzuki. He isn't the best doujinka, but when that dude gets fired up, he draws some of the hottest 90's era girls-in-plug-suits and mecha illustrations around. I feel like he hardly does anything now.

Thermae Romae's Yamazaki to Draw Manga of Apple's Steve Jobs

Thermae Romae manga creator Mari Yamazaki revealed on Tuesday that her next series will be a biography of the late Apple company co-founder Steve Jobs. She made the announcement herself during an appearance on the NHK-General talk show Studio Park Kara Konnichiwa.

When asked about her next work during the show, Yamazaki presented an profile illustration she drew of Jobs. She commented that she personally feels sympathy for one of the leading figures in the personal computer and electronics industry. The new series will run in Kodansha's revamped Kiss magazine, which is switching from a biweekly schedule to a monthly one in the May issue on March 25.

Could the future adaptation... be what finally saves noitaminA?!!??

That's big dropoff for JoJo :(

And I'm not sure why Summer Wars sold much more disc than Wolf Children. Well I'm sure they happy enough with 50 million USD from the cinemas.

I wonder if it will included the part where he slowly kills himself with one of the stupidest diets ever invented.

That's what makes it noitaminA material.

It's especially sad when you read the biography, because he refused to eat like a normal person when he was ailing after surgeries and that no doubt did a number on his health. :/
It's amazing how someone can be really smart and successful and fall for such obvious nonsense.

Oh, there's a BD+DVD package. Hah, I almost missed that.
Hmm, T&B didn't chart that high either. Maybe my expectations for movie sales are super-inflated by shows like Nanoha, Haruhi, and K-On.

Wow its twice the numbers.

Almost like everybody that miss out SW in cinemas and buy the disc, this time they watch it on theater for sure lol
The total sales are even higher:
BD LE - 79,390
DVD - 127,832

Later that year they also released a normal edition of the BD which sold a total of 14,700 units. Last year they re-released a low priced edition which sold a total of 21,799 units.

Total Summer Wars sales to date is 243,721.

Well, he was part of that weird 70s counterculture stuff and believed in much of it until he died. And even though being a billionaire CEO sort of contradicts that movement entirely, I think the fact that he was so successful sort of trapped him in an alternate reality bubble where he never grew out of that movement like most people from around the time who were a part of it did.

I wonder how much of the drop offs for a popular series after vol1 are due to a situation like:

- Person A sees Vol1 of XXYY in a store. Buys it and likes it.
- Person A is now aware of the series and wants to buy the rest, and goes looking for the best price for future pre-orders, and buys from Amazon Japan which iirc is not tracked by Oricon.

Man Summer Wars is a sales monster, even though you could argue it's his weakest film.

I can't find any numbers at all.
Numbers would be interesting since the BD came out so much later than the DVD.

For comparison...

Summer Wars first week sales:
BD LE - 54,218
DVD - 55,375
So it must mean Summer wars is twice as good as Wolf Children

Sure, it's a possibility, there could also be people who only go out and buy the first volume just to say they have it and have no intention of buying the other sets.

Usually when there are no numbers to be found, it means extremely low sales. For example, I don't think there are any complete numbers for Sword of the Stranger either.
