Not until after the Dream Collection launches, I'd bet.

Maybe in October or November

More like maybe in 2013. Nintendo released a list of upcoming eshop/VC games for the NA sometime last month, Wario Land II was listed as "Q4" and KDL2 wasn't listed at all.

Those lists are never comprehensive and quite often inaccurate.

I highly doubt Nintendo will only release 2 of their own VC games (WL2 & Zelda 2) for the rest of the year.

I want to believe that, at least :'(

I'm aware of that. Case in point, we got Toki Tori this week and are getting Shantae (hopefully) later this year, neither of which were on that list. But games like that not being on the list are at least partially due to the confirmation process for third party VC games. Nintendo doesn't have those hoops to jump through for their own first party games, and KDL 2 would be a "big" VC release that would generate excitement. If they were releasing it this year, why wouldn't they announce it?

I'd love to be wrong and all that, but high hopes and NoA's eShop release schedule usually don't go very well together.

So uh, bought Wario Land and Wily's Revenge and those were over in like 2 hours each. So I guess I'll get a eshop game.

Thinking about Ketzal's Corridors, is it good? how long is it

Can someone recommend a place where I can buy US eShop cash cards online and get the codes sent by email? Preferably one that doesn't charge a ridiculous premium.

Does anyone have an answer to this as well?

Well, I've gotten them for folks before. If you needed a few, I don't have a problem buying them and e-mailing/PMing the code -- the grocery store down the street generally has them on the gift card rack.

Ketzal's Corridors is pretty short, but has plenty of optional bonus content and replay value. It can be difficult to wrap your head around rotating the pieces along six different axes, but once you manage to do that it's quite fun and addictive.

Why wouldn't they just release it in all regions on the same week? The answer to these and countless other questions is simple: Nintendo is kinda dumb.

Isn't that more of an argument for NOA waiting till 2013 to release KDL2, instead of against?

Uh, yikes. Let's hope there are control options.
Why? That looked awesome and such a cool idea to use the 3DS like that. I wantz it now! I still need to beat the first one but I don't think I have the patience. I heard this one is more linear so I hope thats true. I keep getting lost or going in circles in the first one.

Is it just me, or has Wii had a better year than 3DS in the digital space? Monster World IV, Mega Man X2, Strider, Double Dragon II, tons of NeoGeo stuff and now La-Mulana has beat the odds even.

Is WiiWare Retro City Rampage still a go? What's the hold up?

You're forgetting localizations and ratings. Not only do those things take time, individual teams might also be busy with something else at any given time. Not to mention the desire to have a balanced release schedule. So releasing everywhere in the same week would lead to delays in some regions. And some games might not be worth the effort in certain regions to begin with.

I wasn't speaking generally, I was speaking specifically about Kirby's Dream Land 2, a first-party VC game that's already localised. The impediments that exist for small third-party publishers are mostly inapplicable to Nintendo--if they really wanted to aim for simultaneous worldwide releases of VC games they could do it without a whole lot of effort.

Not for me here in PAL land as 50hz NeoGeo ports are a blight upon my eyes! I'm still shaking my head at 50hz VC here. Even PSN is sadly afflicted with it. No retro gaming for me then.

Still looking forward to La-Mulana though.

Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru

Too bad Nintendo wouldn't release the never released GBC version of this game. Anyway, can't wait to download it. So good!

I don't think it actually exists--it was announced, sure, but the only screens we have are mockups.
