Don't Panic has just informed us about their Official contest with Sony. Gamers are invited to design a new character for LittleBigPlanet which is sure to be a worldwide hit for the PS3, thus it should track a whole lot of interest! The winning character will be incorporated into the final version of the game, so hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions will be using your character! The competition ends 4th August 2008, if you're interested go and get further information, the brief and design template from Dontpaniconline.com.

He's sticking with the Joker motif. At first I thought he was just being a douche, but if you've seen some of the viral sites for the new Batman movie, there is a site where the Joker has taken the local Gotham newspaper and crossed out a lot of things and cut and paste stuff to make lame jokes. This fits with that, although I don't know if the folks at Don't Panic will understand that.

Bizarre. All I got were a bunch of checkboxes for locations in the UK.

Edit: ahahaha, I get it now. It asks for all these weird non-american regions to register for the website, but when you register for the contest (after you register for the website), it's completely different and lets you pick from anywhere.

Whew. My bad, everyone.
