NFL 2016 Week 7 [OT] - Challenge of the SuperFrauds

So in the Switch hardware thread several people are saying that it will definitely be weaker then the base Xbox 1, not even the S or the scorpio but the lanuch Xbox One. Why Nintendo? I cant wrap my head around that with PS4 Pro and Scorpio coming out. The Switch is going to be so badly out paced graphically, and then what if they get into another situation like with the Wii-U where devs dont even bother with ports for it since it would be more work. I really wonder if we will ever see a situation again where Nintendo's console is on the same power level as the other 2. Oh well my wife already sent me an email saying she wanted one, so I guess I need to start planning out my spending.

They need to make a console with a disposable mindset of their portables. It looks like this is closer to that.

I cant believe that the NFL only suspended him for one game without even talking to the woman involved. They learned nothing from the Ray Rice situation.

I think the NFL actually tried to talk to her and she refused to speak with them. I could be wrong, but I think I remember that in the initial reporting.

Weird that she would go public with her story but wouldnt talk to the NFL when they were investigating it. I am super curious what her reasoning was.

Kind of happens all the time (unfortunately) with DV cases, no? Charges get filed and then the spouse refuses to cooperate with police and they get dropped.

Lacy on IR now.....geez do we even have enough guys to field a team? Seems like we got injuries all over the place once again.

Cowboys sticking with Dak for at least the game against the Eagles:

#Cowboys are starting QB Dak Prescott post-bye vs #Eagles, source said. No surprise. Tony Romo may not be ready to be considered vs #Browns

Dak vs. Wentz round one of many, cant wait!

Records Specialist w/ King County Shrf said Josh Brown docs weren't available before Wed. They hadn't been cleared & it was ongoing invest

Who the fuck is going to play skyrim 0.5 or NBA on a Nintendo console

suckers. Playing a Bethesda game without access to mods is suffering.

Then again, maybe Nintendo hardcore (who probably only have Nintendo consoles) will buy out of ignorance. If it somehow supports mods...it's all good then.

BREAKING: Packers Placing RB Eddie Lacy On Injured Reserve https://t.co/r4H5WSSGwt #Packers #NFL

Eh

I'm not even mad. This season is fucked unless Rodgers gets it together anyway. The whole team is built around him.

I'm all about portable Skyrim. I think that's the biggest appeal to me is if they can get huge impressive looking games on a good sized portable screen.

I'd also kill for some proper full sized touch screen Civilization or other strategy games but I won't hold my breath since that makes too much sense.

Kicker Randy Bullock, who was signed by the #Giants for week 1, does have a passport and can travel. We’ll see if the team makes a move.

This is a better league with Beercan in it

Whats the Josh Brown story?

He was known to have hit his wife but was given 1 game and now we have new revelations?

I've never been a huge Nintendo fanboy. I had the GC but didn't play it very much. Had the Wii but didn't play that very much either, outside of the first month or so.

I think Switch is an interesting concept. I haven't seen whether the mobile part is an actual tablet (Android?) yet. If it's not, then you run into the usual "how many effin devices am I carrying around?" problem. A phone, a tablet, a Paperwhite and now a dedicated gaming device.

Just really not practical imo. And yes, if you're a business traveler, you may already be expecting to use all of those, in addition to a laptop.

Now, if the mobile piece of this can actually double as your Android tablet, which could also run a Kindle app on it, along with having dedicated gaming capabilities, then you've got a consolidation device with unique value add in its console gaming.

We just bought a Samsung 65" 4K SUHD TV (for less $1400 via an employee purchase plan for a TV that runs $1800 at BB and Amazon). My plan in the spring is to buy a gaming laptop with a GT 1070/1080 that can push 4K graphics to that TV when I want to hook it up. To me, that + Xbone will be more than enough to occupy my home gaming time, with a few random mobile games on my phone capable of occupying my non-GAF browsing time while on the go.

tl;dr - that's a "no" from me on the Switch.

I don't really believe that. They'll always try to even the betting out.

That is what I thought but if you look on vegas insider a few places have moved it to vikings -3, but most are holding fast to -2.5. I am really curious to see if the money stays one sided how the calls go on Sunday.

You compromise the fat old guy market. That market is not interested in Nintendo games. If it will succeed they need kids and families. That is their niche and the market has a need for that.

Families to this point would rather get one console and give their kids shitty tablets. That is their real problem. If they can get the young kids back on board it will work. I don't know what the kids like these days though so your guess is as good as mine.

I don't think an ARM chip exists that can output what the PS4 can graphically. What you want power wise is not possible. To get that I think you need PC parts and the costs would be a lot with Garbo battery life. PS3 1.5 with 6 hours of battery and sub 300 dollars would be pretty amazing for a portable.

My problem is even though it does detach and go portable I am still going to have it plugged into my TV in my entertainment center. So in my mind it is a home console and I really want Nintendo to make their consoles at least on par with the other 2.

So a family with 2+ kids is gonna buy this thing and when they go hit the minivan there is going to be a major war between those kids as to which of them gets the handheld.

levious

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
Could the nfl possibly suspend Brown right now? I'd love to see open tryouts in london for sunday's game.

So it will be exactly like it was in the 90s when not everyone had an individual got damn screen in their hands and they lived through it.
