Streaming Plans for NA have been announced. Stream will be available on Gundam.info and Hulu on October 4th at 6:30 am EDT. Crunchyroll and Funimation streams will premier a week later. A Daisuki stream will be available in 242 countries on October 4th as well.
What is it?
Iron-Blooded Orphans is the next series in the long running Gundam franchise. It's the first ~50 episode show since Gundam Age.
What's it About?
300 years after a great conflict between Earth and Mars known as the "Calamity War," a woman named Cordelia sets out on a journey to Earth to speak for the independence of the Martian city of Chryse, which is under the control of the Earth government. Escorting her is the private security company CGS members Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka. When a group named Gjallarhorn attacks CGS and Cordelia, Orga sees this as a chance to rebel against CGS and launch a coup. Mikazuki and Orga are thrust into a new conflict. To fend off Gjallarhorn, Mikazuki rides an old mobile suit from the Calamity War, powered by a nuclear reactor, the Gundam Barbatos.
Why Should I Care?
Are you not a self-flagellating Gundam fan? Well, Iron-Blooded Orphans seems to be an interesting new concept and the staff are people that have some serious fans (as well as detractors). Given this is the first serious Gundam series to get a major push since AGE, it's probably worth a shot. The robot designs are pretty new and different as well.
I'm new to Gundam, is this a good place to start
Unlike the last couple major Gundam anime, Iron-Blooded Orphans is set in a new alternate timeline with absolutely no connection to previous stuff. Feel free to jump right in.
Who's Making It?

When Does it Start and Where Can I Watch?
Iron-Blooded Orphans will start October 4th in Japan at 5pm. The show will be available for 242 countries on Daisuki on October 4th at 6:30 AM EDT. In NA, it will also be available on Gundam.info and Hulu at that time with Funimation and Crunchyroll streams coming a week later.
Will this show have Model Kits and Action Figures?
It wouldn't be Gundam if it didn't! In fact, Iron-Blooded Orphans is getting a huge push from Bandai the likes we haven't seen in a while. There will be a massive 1/144 HG kit line with interchangeable parts and weapons as well as a 1/100 line with a full inner frame and customization gimmicks. You can also expect other various action figures, SD stuff and tons of other little toys if that's what you're after. There are many places to buy, but I'd suggest taking a look at HLJ or AmiAmi.
