Teen idols exist. Street punks exist. Teddie the only one that is out of place, but he is part of the supernatural element that out normal protagonists confront. Crossdressing teen detetives do not exist.

God. Trip down memory lane. Bought that when it came out. Loved that game. I was OBSESSED with Digimon cards, until this thing called "Yu-Gi-Oh" came about. Couple of you might have heard of it.

Seriously, you're about as likely to run into a crossdressing teen detective as you are to invite a teen idol back to your house. Kanji + MC's asskickingness is borderline superhuman. Suspend your disbelief, this is a game where you save people from dying inside televisions for God's sake. Naoto represents identity issues, which real people have, just in her own unusual way.

I'm gonna disagree. The promo stream has largely been hecka boring and while I guess folks might have enjoyed using nicovideo like a chat room, but overall it's been 72 hours of "meh."
Hopefully the actual announcement will be fairly substantial and not, like, a three minute animated trailer or SMT4's first teaser trailer.

It'll actually be for a Persona 4 live action tv series.
I first saw the Japanese OP for the game when I was in Hong Kong after watching the English dub movie. I was 11 years old I think and the first thing I thought of besides the awesome song was "OMNIMON FIGHTING APOCALYMON in 3D!!!!!!"

Hmm... it's hard to say. Androids are more thematically appropriate given how many appear in the series, but P3's opening had the "iPod commercial from the mid-2000s" aesthetic going on... it could go either way.
