Fingers crossed that this dungeon is the gold standard for design, gameplay and gravitas in the Zelda series, and that no one without a Wolf Link Amiibo will ever be able to experience it.
The vast majority of people who are collecting Amiibo would still be collecting them if they didn't lock content behind them. They don't need any of that to get people to buy the product. They should just get rid of that aspect of it. Or at the very least put it up like normal DLC as well.Interesting. Wonder what data is saved to it though
There's a difference between people, and you. You don't want it. Others do. Others like amiibo, hence why they sell.
People also complain that amiibo functionality is minimal, so they're adding more value to them. Deal with it. The game is still complete without it.
So Twilight Princess wasn't complete without this dungeon, yes? We've had an incomplete game for the last decade?
And you spent that time to complain about how people arent happy. How ironic.
Do you concede that ''being negative on a message board'' can lead to positive things? If you do, then surely you must understand why people are complaining in this thread instead of retreating to their happy places. If you don't, well, you're just in denial and I suggest you take a step back and open your eyes (and mind) a bit.I'm trying to be positive about something, dude. I'm not complaining about a toy, I'm trying to open that poster's eyes a bit, so he can take a step back, and find something he can take enjoyment in.
Given that the content was probably developed for the amiibo specifically i dont care.
I have one issue. Amiibos are too rare so it means many people dont even have the option to access content for a reasonable price.
Awesome! I'm always up for another Twilight Princess dungeon. They are some of the best Zelda dungeons in the series.
This pretty much sounds like the Link's Awakening DX GBC exclusive dungeon.
.
There isn't even a SKU without the amiibo up for preorder, in NA at least. There is literally no way to purchase the game without the amiibo. What's the issue?
I never said anything about it being an incomplete game? My point is you don't need to be doing some 100% playthrough to want to play a new dungeon. Stop twisting my words.
Digital...
So you'd be fine if the next zelda has epona behind an amiibo unlock rightI'm using hyperbole to try to point out how ridiculous your stance is.
If this was the only thing being added, you might have a point. If Twilight Princess didn't have a lot of dungeons, you might have a point. If this was something absolutely essential to the game, you might have a point. If this was something that was intentionally taken out to sell as DLC, you might have a point.
If you want the new dungeon, buy the amiibo. It's really just that simple.
That's what people get for being a dumbass and buying digital then.
Not to mention that this isn't even an official announcement so we don't have any details for it yet. Digital buyers could have the dungeon included for all we know.
So you'd be fine if the next zelda has epona behind an amiibo unlock right
But I'm not complaining. I'm trying to give you advice. It may or may not help you. Judging on your sarcastic tone, I doubt it will, so at least try to make the most of being upset about things you don't have to be upset about and have a blessed day!
really dude, is that sensible in 2016
Twilight Princess, a game with enough dungeons gets more content while Wind Waker HD didnt get anything new aside from quality of life enhancements to the gameplay.
What the fuck.
I love it how the people against Amiibo forget that they are multi use, heck Nintendo themselves said that the Wolf Link Amiibo will work in Zelda U.
But no let's complain because...reasons.
So Twilight Princess wasn't complete without this dungeon, yes? We've had an incomplete game for the last decade?
Sounds awful. Don't want to buy some pointless shit to unlock digital content.
I think there's a pretty decent argument to be made that any and all new content is the main attraction for a remaster/rerelease/whatever they're calling this.
Of course, if this is like three rooms in the Cave of Ordeals then we're all going to look very silly.
It's on disc DLC, which is one of the most despised practices in gaming. Many companies have been criticized heavily when it's revealed that they're doing that. Now if this is true Nintendo is basically celebrating the practice and being arrogant about it. Not only do they have on disc DLC, but you need a $10-15 toy to unlock it. So you might not even be able to gain access to it unlock other forms of DLC.
This form of DLC is the absolute worst and scummiest around. But it's something you could see coming from a mile away given the success of Amiibo's. They'd be just as successful even without the DLC because of how much people love Nintendo characters. But instead Nintendo is going to go down this route of heavily criticized practices.
I'm going to guess it's a Spelunky type of gauntlet dungeon, 5 to 10 rooms with different sets of enemies each time.
The outrage is because people don't want to buy plastic crap to unlock DLC. All Nintendo has to do is sell the DLC separately on the eShop but if they do that they can no longer hide that it's day 1 on disc DLC.So the game comes with an extra dungeon that will be unlocked by the Amiibo that is bundled with the game. A bundle that has been coming back in stock almost every week since it was announced. And an Amiibo that not only looks cool, but works as DLc for more than one game. So what's the outrage here.
I hate how people keep making the same Amiibo bashing threads even though we knew what they were since before they released and to complain for this game that come in a bundle with said Amiibo for the same low price as the game without it( a version that doesn't exist except digital). People just want to bitch about anything.
So you don't want to buy the game that comes standard with the Amiibo that unlocks the dungeon? You just want to complain then?
It's not DLC. It's not downloadable. It's a key in the form of a toy. You can borrow this toy from someone else, or sell your toy when you're done with it. (If you really really want this tiny extra functionality to the game.)
Nintendo has been a toy company for more than 100 years. Who would have thought that they would create and try to sell more toys?
Are you even reading my posts? I'm not asking for the content for free holy shit. I just don't want it tied exclusively to a fucking piece of plastic I might not be able to get, that's my bloody point, not that the game should come with the dungeon out of the gate at no extra cost, just make sure everyone can buy the content. I'm not complaining the DLC exists but that without the amiibo you can't buy it anywhere else.I'm using hyperbole to try to point out how ridiculous your stance is.

"The data recorded on this Amiibo can even be transfered to the next episode on Wii U."
Talking about Zelda U?

ITT you learn that the USA =/= world; the Amiibo bundle is a limited edition in EU and the standard edition comes with the game only.
I also love how you just dismiss the digital version.
You get it wrong: People dont want Amiibos at all. It doesnt come bundled with the game, its a limited edition. And its already out of stock.

Isn't funny how people who are consumers are the biggest defenders of anti-consumer decisions?
If people didn't want Amiibo, then why is it already out of stock?
