I get the sense most of the non annualized/due 2012 series have moved on to the next consoles at this point.

No, he did say that they have a few 'breaking news/surprise announcements' that they're holding onto for the show itself.

Considering last year had Skyrim announced out of the blue, I have faith that those big announcements will be a big deal.
