I don't understand what this chart is trying to say - can you explain a bit further? Not quite.

People have no idea what a healthy weight even looks like anymore.
Yeah, I'm not sure what's going onSo Calvin Klein never labeled her plus-size...
Let the faux-outrage continue, though.
I don't understand what this chart is trying to say - can you explain a bit further?
That's a normal, healthy looking and beautiful woman. Calvin Klein and his people need their glasses/eyes checked. So does the industry they work in.
This is pathetic.
Vanity size is crazy. Even kirsty allen claimed to be a size 4. A size four is like a Beyonce sized waist.
Just try the zara/hm/guess. They dont inflate size
Large breasts, thick thighs, a bit of arm flab, and a broad body suggests that this woman is indeed on the plus size side. There is nothing wrong about this, nor is it suggesting she is fat/obese, just a larger size.
pretty much, people can't put their pitchforks down

What pisses you off?
The fact that she called herself plus-sized in an interview? The fact that, in the modeling industry, she is larger than most of the other models?
QUOTED FOR THE NEW PAGE
Calm down everyone.
A Calvin Klein spokeswoman told the New York Times that the Perfectly Fit line was created to celebrate and cater to the needs of different women, and these images are intended to communicate that our new line is more inclusive and available in several silhouettes in an extensive range of sizes.
As Elle points out, featuring plus size models on magazine covers and calendars has typically been a stunt to draw attention and Calvin Klein opting to remain silent on the issue, rather than flaunting it, should indicate that progress is being made and normalizing all sizes in advertising. But at a time when Victorias Secret comes under fire for unintentionally saying what the Perfect Body" and Walmart labels its plus size section for "Fat Girls, being explicitly clear on intentions is more important than ever.

But what about this in the full article posted?
It still doesn't say anything about plus sized women. I mean, it reads like PR bullshit, but nothing about it says that the model or advertising line is claiming to be plus sized. They don't even mention the model people are angry about in that quote. But what about this in the full article posted?
Love that some people are non-subtly implying that she actually is too heavy. Wow.

what exactly is the purpose of that pose? to make you concentrate on her shoulder and maybe not notice the whole thing looks silly?
Plus size doesnt mean obese ppl.
I like the invocation of the word "healthy" as a positive descriptor for the model here, implying girls on the thinner side are somehow not healthy or as healthy as her and people like her.
But they're thin tho so fuck em.
To Dalbesio, who spent years abusing Adderall, crash dieting, and flirting with bulimia in an attempt to whittle herself to “straight size,”

The fact that she even thinks she's plus-size. To me, plus size is about being slightly bigger in a weight sense. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what it should be.
To me, she's a tall, normal, and very good-looking woman. There's nothing wrong with being plus size, either (lots of overweight women are still very attractive to me), but the classifications need to change.
Plus-size within the industry. It's not like she's saying something controversial. She's bigger than most models.
I really don't see what the issue is.

Why not just have
petit
average
plus
This woman would be average, your average model would be petit.
Petit refers to height--below 5'4".
In clothing or in general?
