Oh shit, Sasuno'o is back. I still love the fact that a ton of Naruto is based in mythology, makes me smile. It also makes much more sense after reading up on it, such as the whole Hidan death or the different jutsus from the sharingan.

That was a really good episode. I wasn't keeping up with the manga during this arc, so there were a few genuine surprises for me. Like old man Tsuchikage turning into such a boss at the end.

Now I want to go back and read the manga to see everything that happens, but I'll resist.

Nah, Sasuke is hated on for legitimate reasons. He completely turned emo and started acting like a selfish brat. Shit all over Itachi's wishes and the sacrifice itachi made for him. He's just a douche. This is coming from someone who loved Sasuke in Naruto one, more than Naruto, easily. Sasuke has become more disappointing as the series has went on. It might be because I can't stand immaturity but good lord does he act like a little brat in Shippuden.

That said, I don't cringe when I see him like others. He had too much page time in Shippuden for a large stretch but I imagine the anime glosses over it faster.

Firstly he takes the words of Madara at face value. That's stupid. Secondly, he becomes so oddly obsessed with his revenge that he forgets his comrads and (later in the anime) wants to murder

. Thirdly, he becomes emo and above all, a self righteous dick by saying he is an avenger. What he's really doing is trampling over everything Itachi laid out for him.

This isn't saying his character was poorly formed in part two. It's just that I genuinly do not like him. I see him as the main baddy/antagonist. There's no redemption for him now. He's past that.

The new episode was a step down fron the previous ones. Shipping/romance crap isn't my cup of tea, and Sakura's facade was so bad that even Naruto's oblivious ass was able to tell she was full of crap.

Interesting seeing Bee and Kisame clash. Hopefully their fight next episode will be things back up to speed.

Agreed. Diver was stuck in my head for a week and I liked the metaphorical animation. New opening's a bit too high-pitched. Not to mention it has crying Sakura, so tired of that.
