Apparently the new difficulty level is only unlocked after beating Crushing.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is the culmination of years of hard work at our studio that has been lovingly rebuilt by the team at Bluepoint Games. It’s incredible to watch Drake run, leap, and shoot on the PS4 with enhanced graphics and gameplay.

Capturing those white-knuckle, trademark Uncharted moments has never been more fun than via the new Photo Mode tools built into the collection. Various improvements in lighting, rendering, texture mapping, and dynamic audio mean all three games are looking and sounding better than ever.

New Trophies and modes such as our Explorer, Speed Run, and Brutal Modes will invite long time adventurers to replay these classics while welcoming newcomers to discover Uncharted greatness.
Explorer Mode is an all-new mode for beginners where combat difficulty is reduced greatly.
Speed Run Mode adds a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.
Brutal Difficulty Mode is the ultimate challenge as the gameplay will be more punishing than Crushing Difficulty (unlocked after beating Crushing Difficulty in the same game).

You can even play all three single-player games in the collection as Doughnut Drake (or any one of over sixty-five other characters skins) if you’re so inclined. A lot of new polish, hard work, and love were put into making this the ultimate Uncharted collection.

Watching that made me wonder why people don't like 3 so much. I get the one level with the boat graveyard that sucked. Other than that I really enjoyed it. I still wish people took less bullets to kill and man he is a mass murderer but I love uncharted games.

UC3 is the best in the series IMO.

Collection should be fun to play, doesn't look insanely better graphically though.

Is that the general consensus? I've only played the third game and I remember loving that section.

Waiting for this collection to give Uncharted 3 another try. Last time I played it I hated everything about it, but maybe time has fixed that.

Just off watching that trailer, I got chills....Wow just wow.
Seeing Uc1 Uc2, Uc3, all in 1080 60 fps, and it looks like they changed and cleaned up some of the scenes as well. Drakes shirt has so much more detail than it had in the ps3 version in those scenes. Wow

I cant believe watching that gave me chills like it did, all i kept saying was "OMG" lmao and this is a game i already played! LMAO

Is currently staging a hunger strike outside Gearbox HQ while trying to hate them to death
Is it me or does UC1 look significantly better?

Because people are crazy. And I guess care more about the set pieces than the story in Uncharted, which is why three didn't feel as revolutionary to them as 2.

Anyways that trailer is beautiful. Clearly one of the best trilogies in gaming.

The ship graveyard is my favorite Uncharted area. Wonderful combat sandbox.

Never got the chance to play through all of them so I'm excited for this.

How long would it roughly take to go through all 3 games?

For me, it's a small step back from what Uncharted 2 achieved. It's the best game visually but the set pieces and story have a bit of a disconnect that isn't present in the prior title. Among Thieves absolutely nails the tension and feeling of loneliness in the scenes with
Tenzin (sp?)
and absolutely crushes the feeling of a summer blockbuster action film in the
train
sequence.

Drake's Deception falls a little short for me in that sense. For instance, I get a much greater sense of loneliness with
Tenzin
in Among Thieves than I do
wandering the desert
in Uncharted 3. Also, as cool as the
cruise ship
is, that scene and
the boat graveyard
before it just kill the pacing for me. Still an incredible game and I like the story a lot better as it brings a little more humanity to all of the main characters, but I think this kind of a drop-off is what leads people to the assumption that it's not the best game in the series and, then, to the hyperbole of the game being "crap."

Also, UC3 launched with a different aiming / trajectory system than UC2's, which a lot of people noticed immediately and didn't appreciate. Although the game has been patched since then, that first impression spoiled the game for a lot of players, at least on this board.

Oh my goodness that was so good. What a phenominal trailer! I hardly recognized Drakes Fortune. They did some amazing work there. Looks fantastic.
