Uncharted Collection Story trailer

Uncharted 3 deserved some fixes, to look more like the old trailers. Chloe and Elena look weird. They could have used PS4 power to upgrade some places and models.

Anyway, gonna buy it day one.

It's about time to make it mandatory for ANY Uncharted thread to have a disclaimer in particular to this pre-rendered "downgrade" image to be banned.

Wow. Just curious what stopped you 1/4 into U2?

Bayonetta 1 releasing. Got into that game for a while and never went back to Uncharted 2. After I was done with Bayonetta, I moved on to Red Dead Redemption and just never looked back, eh. That's how it goes sometimes.

Wow, they really went all the way in fixing up UC1. I never finished it because I only played it after UC2 and 3 so I was spoiled by the better gameplay. I'll probably get this just to finish UC1.

I have only played Uncharted Golden Abyss. Looking forward to this collection. Thanks for the heads up on the spoilers!

God I want to see UC1 environments - definitely my favorite environment in the series, judging by the seaplane comparison pic, the jungle might see a bump too

*crosses fingers*

This trailer gave me goosebumps. And I have completed all these games multiple times. Makes me want to go play again on ps3 but I guess I would rather wait for the Collection.

It would be terrific if they managed to put in that per-object motion blur from the last two games into UC1.

I can't wait to play these games again.

Now I can play all of these including my favourite uncharted (Drakes Fortune) at 1080p 60fps. Great trailer, have they put work into this one... and it shows; textures, lighting and models are all better, even extra cutscenes for this collection.

That IQ is pretty amazing too, finally some very good anti-aliasing in the series. Day1 of course.

so, they redid/upgraded the pre-rendered cutscenes too?

Yes but at this point I wonder if the cutscenes are still pre-rendered.
Maybe they are all real-time hence the upgrade. On the PS3 Uncharted1 was basically running all from the Blu Ray drive, now all the datas will be installed on the hard drive.
That coupled with the PS4 obviously higher bandwidth could mean that all the cutscenes are rendered in real time with no loadings.

I'm not sure if you are a really good troll or a really bad one...
I'm not a troll. I'm a huge fan of Uncharted franchise, speacially Uncharted 3. I have played more than 10k online matches, and I have a platinum on all 3 games. Sorry if anybody took me as a troll, was not my intention.

Personally, I really would like to see that. It would have been nice to have that scene put in the new trailer... just for comparison purposes. I am still wondering if Bluepoint Games managed to pull that off, you know, fix the lighting and shaders the way ND first showed/wanted the scene to look like in the E3 trailer (2011?).

It would be a good idea, but if we are to forget it, then they might just dismissed the issue with that scene, which is something that most of us, if not all, want to see fixed, especially on PS4. For a collection that is supposed to push the visual presentation of those years old games, it should be the right time to fix it. Don't you think?

Does BluePoint only specialize in remastering games or have they made games of their own?

They released an original game named Blast Factor for PS3 in 2006 to middling reviews. Since then, they've just done ports.

- God of War Collection
- Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD
- Metal Gear Solid HD
- PS All-Stars Battle Royale
- Titanfall (Xbox 360)
and now The Nathan Drake Collection.
