There's an eShop related Nintendo Direct on the JP eShop. I'm not particularly fluent in Japanese, but I *think* it's about eshop versions of Mario Tennis Open, Star Fox 64 3D, Mario Kart 7, Mario 3D Land, Ocarina of Time 3D, and Pilotwings Resort.

Oh, and Super C for Japan next week. The hell is with Konami skipping Contra 1 again?

Why is the Japanese 3DS a million lightyears ahead of every other 3DS

it hurts

They may or may not all be coming on the 1st of November. I saw 11/1/2012 so it's just a guess.

Holy crap! Today's real megaton is that more than two people can have the same first name.
The NSMB2 packs are already out in Europe. £2 / €2.50 each

As a carryover from the last downloads thread, let me just reiterate what a huge steaming pile of overpriced shit that Crosswords Plus is. You've been warned.

I'll admit that it's not great and it's certainly not worth the asking price of $30. But the game's not exactly broken or anything, either. Therefore I wouldn't call it a steaming pile. The puzzles I've seen so far tend to be pretty bland, though. At least there's a ton of content. Not the sort of thing that people would 100% any time soon, especially with what seems to be daily puzzles sent via spotpass. It would be a great $10 download, but $30 will give most people buyer's remorse.

I got Mario Golf GBC today via the JP eshop and wow. Best golf game I've ever played. So simple, and yet so grand.

The puzzles are all bland. There's no pop culture puzzles. It's just the same clues and the same answers repeated over and over and over. I would argue that parts of the game are in fact broken. Namely the writing recognition that constantly screws up. I'd say 5-10 is more than fair for this game. I call it a steaming pile mainly because of how bland it is and what the price is. A more reasonable price and it's just simply a bland but acceptable diversion. This is the kind of stuff you can find on a mobile device for 99 cents. Nintendo is so out of touch with the real world, it's kinda scary.

the hard one is fucking nasty, especially since it ends with a canon level and if you screw up it's back to the first level :(

also the 'gold' pack makes it stupid easy to get 30,000 coins. It's basically a cheat level to get to 1 million coins.

The best of the pack is probably the 'middle' pack from my few play throughs. the gold flower pack is really fun, but it's ridiculous how easily you can get to 30k. On my first run through I think I got 29,969 or something, without sweating it.

wait what, fucking downloading that shit now.

The download option isn't on my coin rush thing? Haven't got the spotpass notification either.

They're on the eshop but I can't buy them from there.

Yeah the hard one is kicking my ass constantly.

what happened to games with challenge? nerve wreck pack is piss easy not sure why people are finding it hard, levels are short and straight forward

I sorta feel silly now spending time on the 'vanilla' Mario getting 1mil coins now that there are much easier/quicker ways to do it lol.

Oh well.

You're an OG coin millionaire. That gotta count for something, right? I agree though, with 30.000 coins per run it's too easy to hit 1 million. The levels are kind of fun though just to dick around.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

Honestly, what does this phrase even mean?

I am giving Nintendo too much money these days :(
NSMB2 digital, Art Academy digital, and soon Cave Story. And this is all before the holiday season! Let's not even mention the abomination that is Heavy Fire 3d, I need a time machine to undo that purchase.

It means it's very easy.

also, I mean I guess a lot of you have played smb3 and smw, I'm just saying that these 3 levels aren't terribly challenging for something that's given 5 stars for difficulty. I fucking love this game but god damn it's easy

The bizarre thing is that Crosswords DS, which came out before the mobile revolution, cost $20. So not only are they unaware of how value has changed, they actually think essentially the same product is worth more now.
