Psycho Crushers is a pretty terrifying team. Sucks to potentially have to face that in my triumphant return to the NQ playoffs (first time since 2011) lol

Nightmare scenario for me this afternoon is if I lose, acksman loses and both Cloudy & MBison win.
That had better not happen.

Not that facing MBison on Money Week is much better - how could you guys let Herron slip that far in the Week 12 waiver run after Bradshaw was ruled out for the season?
I've also been kicking myself for letting the Texans D/ST slip into minx88's clutches one week prior.

Best of luck to those of you in need of crucial wins this week!

I'm dropping Rivers for Flacco in my $100 league. That o-line is ridiculous

PS: I've been starting Russell Wilson ever since the Miami debacle

Yup. Fuck me. Everything is going wrong right now.

Just as a say that good as Gould strikes back with two TD!

I hate you guys for always dropping players so that they clear waivers after Sunday

Cant Say I'm a fan of it as well. But it's within the rules with no moves limit so gotta roll with it.

As for this week glad Jennings and Green doing well. scared of Manziel keeps the job with crowell and hate having to pick between Smith and Wright. Part of me wants up lose this week to alleviate some of the pain of my eventual one and done.

A move limit is something we can look into adding next year. I'm typically against those cos I love to speculate but with such a thin FA pool, we shouldn't be stashing guys just to dump them before kickoff

The GAF Shirtless league has a 3-move per week limit I like quite a bit. Really forces you to think your free agent pickups and waiver claims through because if you waste them needlessly you're really up a creek.
At first I didn't like that limitation but I've changed up my game and adapted quite nicely - entering the playoffs to defend my title in 1st place on a 5-game win streak.

To make up for that waiver move restriction they allow for larger benches. Frankly, I'll take a move restriction and a larger bench any day of the week over no move restriction and a shorter bench.

I still feel good about a playoff spot but it's going to come down to points
SirGarbagemen "likely" losing to Hookers And Blow kind of cut everyone a break. The rest of you should make it no problem.
Although Ellington being out is skewing his projection somewhat so don't count that as a done deal just yet. Harvin could easily flame out tomorrow - it is the Jets after all.

Today is crazy in all my leagues. I had a 156 point day and was doing good, but he had Luck and Brown... He is about to pull ahead with one player left, Lacy. If the NE/GB game would stop now, I would appreciate it!

I don't even know what to say in this league. My QB will be my downfall. My two RB is the only thing that has kept me in it. Crazy that I should have played Colt McCoy today...

I honestly don't feel comfortable about any of my Money Week matchups despite the fact that I enter them with 5-game, 6-game and 7-game win streaks.

To be honest, this is the championship I want the most. It's not even about the money. It's about slaying the dragon that's been eluding me these past 4 years with a 4th place, 2nd place and 3rd place finish. I suppose I should at least take solace in my unbeaten Week 14 track record in No Quitters but I refuse to be comfortable.

I'm still alive through 13 weeks in the FootballGuys.com Suicide Pool, too... although the Bengals gave me one hell of a scare today. They really should have lost that game.

This is the last regular season week? Well, it was fun. Looks like I placed #14.
The only way to get good at fantasy is to experience defeat and learn from it.
We've all had a lousy team at one point or another.
Dinner Out's won this league twice and he's likely going to finish out of the playoffs just one game ahead of you.

There's a consolation bracket
Unless you've changed how the consolation bracket works that's where the Money Week losers will play out Weeks 15-16.
The non-playoff teams don't seem to have one - or at least not one that's historically archived.

BTW, guys. I thought of a (controversial) way to reward consistent participation. We could set the next year's draft order based on teams finished the prior season. Obviously with league turnover, new players might not be down with this but I just don't feel good about controlling a roster when the matchup outcome affects me.

Last year, I was out of it so I didn't care but I kind of held back this week. It just didn't seem fair to be picking up better players off waivers to thwart another team that I'm battling for a playoff spot lol. For example, I could have dropped Niles Paul (on H&B's team) once Reed was named the starter but I decided not to since there was a TE on the roster.

Obviously if we do this, next year's draft will still be random. But all drafts after that will be based on best to worst records with any new players filling out the draft in the order they join.

Thoughts?

Ah, you're right. It's only for the losers in the playoff bracket

You mentioned the biggest sticking point right at the outset. Having draft order determined by final placing will discourage new people from joining up.

I actually sort of like the idea in a dynasty/keeper league format but with the routine owner churn of a 16-team redraft league like No Quitters (even with the 75% or so owner retention we get each year) I'm not exactly sure it's feasible.

As for roster maintenance, you did assign a co-commissioner who could have stepped in to make non-biased adjustments. Rinker's been out of the running for a few weeks now.

I suppose I'm not as bent out of shape about it because this league's still better than most other I've been in when it comes to owners fielding full and competitive lineups. I'm already eliminated in one of my keeper leagues where I was literally done in by a guy keeping an injured player in his lineup against one of the opponents I was battling with for a playoff spot. But that's just life.

I'd rather campaign to ensure that owner doesn't return next season than to have them get bailed out by commissioner management and then have them come back next season just for them to get disinterested and screw me again. I don't mind the occasional safety net being cast off for someone - people have lives outside of fantasy after all - but if their apathy towards active roster management is habitual, I'd just rather not have them in the league next year than have you babysit their rosters for them.

So how do playoffs work... does every team play next week or does the top two teams get a bye? If I make it in I just don't want to play Ubertags team.

That's where you're wrong. I have a bye week!

Yeah, this is my first money league. Next year I will be better, hard not to. Lowest scoring team in the league. Haha

My fate now is in hands of Percy Harvin. Even if I make it I'll play Ubertag who I haven't outscored since week 7.

LIKELY PLAYOFF SEEDS / MONEY WEEK MATCH-UPS

1) The Hibachi Grill (10-3)
8) *TD's N' Beer (6-7) | 1316.16 Points For

2) Long Island Broskis (9-4) | 1443.55 Points For
7) *Gisele's Bundchens (7-6) | 1229.53 Projected Points For

3) PK Boosters (9-4) | 1285.78 Points For
6) *Ember Island Players (7-6) | 1232.78 Points For

4) Psycho Crushers (8-5)
5) Redbull Express GAF (7-6) | 1376.07 Points For

There's still quite a bit of variability in the 6th-8th place slots.
I suspect that Harvin will easily rack up enough points to ensure a loss for SirGarbagemen tomorrow night.

He's effectively had 3 bye weeks this season thanks to the trade to the Jets but even when he was "shut down" by Buffalo last week he still racked up enough points to close what is presently a meager 3.54 point differential.

(Incidentally, this is still a huge improvement on SirGarbagemen's 4-9 season last year so kudos to him on that.)

The even tighter positional battle from where I stand is in the point differential between Gisele's Bundchens and Ember Island Players tomorrow night.

If Lamar Miller scores an additional 3.26 points on top of his 13.03-point projection on Monday, he'll vault Cloudy back into the 6th place slot he began the weekend in and drop GCQuinton's Players down into a 7th place matchup against me in Money Week.

I sort of doubt this will happen given that run D is like the only thing the Jets do well - but I'm sort of hoping that Rex Ryan throws in the towel now that he's been saddled with Geno Smith for the rest of his paper coaching career in New York and the Fish go to town.

Not only are the Players the better matchup for me next week but I think the Commish has a decent shot against fep's Boosters next weekend and I'd like to see him make the money for once. Credit to fep, btw... he's not active in this thread but he's done a really solid job these past two seasons at managing a team - 2nd in the regular season last year and now 3rd in 2014.

Either way, though... I have good news for minx88. He will NOT be facing me next weekend. If Harvin chokes, he's out. If Harvin doesn't choke, he's 8th as we'll have seven above .500 teams. And in the fluke instance of Chris Johnson not mustering up 0.75 points tomorrow night, he'll vault ahead of two teams into 6th place thanks to the Points For column.

So either way, there's no chance of a Money Week confrontation with me. Donjeezy's Hibachi Grill awaits you and you DID outscore him this week. So have some hope.

Ah I didn't realize I would be 8th. I don't hate my chances against Hibachi actually. Need D. allen to come back.

I don't remember from last year but how are waivers gonna work? Is it 1-8 will still have them and 9-14 locked? or is it open for everyone?

This league sure has kept me on the edge of my seat this year. Not celebrating until it's final. Could still be stat corrections.

I've locked the non-playoff teams except Garbageman (roster correction could happen). Can someone who's out of it show us what that looks like?

If there's no roster correction, any player that Garbageman picks on waivers will be put back in the pool with a waiver date of Sunday. Same goes for Minx if he's somehow out with a roster correction
