Was getting caught part of your plan?
Is there much Vincent Adultman in the new season, or is he busy with adult stuff like calling the guy at the office and taking the car to the place?
For the first 3 or 4 episodes he's prominent,
but his plot thread kinda gets resolved after that
.

Just finished it great Season, Episode 11
had a heavy ending, wasn't expecting him to actually go for the daughter, Bojack is a cartoon version of Hank Moody.

He didnt... From the looks of it she wanted it and he tried to stop her. At least thats what i thought after seeing the broken lamp.

Yeah. That entire episode is about how reality is never fair, and how things always screw up, sometimes irreversibly and how they can destroy good things if we treat them like fantasies.

I've seen some people view the next scene, the New Intro Scene, to mean "Shitty BoJack is Back" or "BoJack has reverted". That's not what it means at all. It's the anti-Don Draper moment. It's BoJack accepting the shit he's been handed by returning to Los Angeles in defeat. I'm pretty sure that we'll NEVER see BoJack revert back to his first half season one persona. This isn't that kind of show, and that kind of safe-for-network bullshit does not interest Raphael. Is BoJack still flawed as fuck? Fuck yes. But that's what makes this season so fucking good. It's a realistic portrayal of someone trying to change.

That ending was on point with this. Also the first picture from the second season already told us what will happen ("Dont look back"). I just hope he finds happiness by the end of the series. Its something he deserved. And it was somehow cruel to see HIS movie ("Secretariat") being raped by those producers. And in the end he didnt even played in this movie because post production. Also its somehow depressing that the daughter of Charlotte fell in love with Bojack and not Charlotte herself. I wonder if we ever see her again.

All in all... If you think about what happened in this show to Bojack you see similarities
to Will Arnett as Gob in Arrested Development. Never finding happiness, even trough he changes and tries to stop being an asshole. Then he somehow gets back to being an asshole because he fucks up because he wants to do the right thing. The neverending circle.

We all know in our hearts that he will never find happiness but we want him to find it. Even trough he is an asshole and somehow is responsible for his own happiness. That is something that makes this show so damn good.

Just finished S2.

This show really forces you to look at the hard reality of your life. It's kind of upsetting, though ultimately, it's a probably good thing.

This show is the darkest and most honest portrayal of human frailty I may have ever seen. Whereas first season mostly dealt with the darkness inside Bojack, this season delved deeper into the darkness inside all of us. The bleak despair that can emerge at any point and consume even the most successful people.

I loved how nothing in this show is neat and tidy. I initially had some problems with some
character disappearances at the end (namely Kelsey Jannings and Wanda
), but I soon realized that it's because nothing comes easy in this world. There are no nice, clean character resolutions. Sometimes people just don't get what they want and it doesn't amount to anything. The tv watcher in me looks for a clean resolution, but the depressed, scared, lonely, self-doubter in me can deeply appreciate the way this show refuses to take the easy way out.

I have no qualms calling this the best Netflix series. Bojack Horseman makes me feel more deep, self-reflective feelings than any piece of art I have consumed in years. I devoured this season in one sitting, and I will probably go back in the next few days and do it again. This series impacts me on such a deep level, and its great to see the second season continue so expertly the dark tapestry that had been woven in the first season.

I guess I'll try and make you understand that I'm more horse than a man. Or I'm more man than a horse...

Oh my goodness Bojack's mother is hysterical.

"You don't know how lucky you are to have me. I hope you die before me so you never know what it's like to lose a mother."

"Well as long as one of us dies that's good enough for me."

His mother is a monster xD

I was beautiful before I had you.
I know...
You ruined me, BoJack.

Wait... they kept him? We got instructions to remove references to him and replace with Michael Bublé o.o
Weird.

Do you work on BoJack? :O

There was an interview with Bob-Waksberg where they said they were going to replace with Bublé but
got confirmation they could get McCartney to voice
at the last second, can't find it now though.

That part in episode 9 with his mom
having read his book and basically telling him how dismal his own life was and how he was born broken before going back to her crossword was probably the darkest moment this season...but the turn was hilarious.

Loved S1 and this topped it. Probably the best part of this show that makes it so much different from other maturely themed toons or just most TV comedies in general is how introspective it makes you as an audience member. Every episode asks you to open yourself up and see what might be damaged or off about you (as well as others) but also that that damage isn't or doesn't have to be all their is.

Epidose 1 spoilers:
Mr. Peanutbutter continues to be my favorite character. I like that they are giving him more depth now though. Also, why you gotta cut me deep Bo Jack with that Bosstones put down. I like the Bosstones :(.

Show continues to be great. I've only watched one episode though.

Not on the show itself, but my company was hired to subtitle it into Portuguese/Brazilian Portuguese.
We've finished the whole season over a month ago (they actually sent us unfinished episodes... all sketches and stuff).
A couple weeks ago they asked us to replace the references to
Paul McCartney
with Michael Bublé, but never showed us the new videos (which we did need, because the lines of the two were different).
Considering the situation, it's more likely they got confirmation they COULD use his voice/character rather than confirmation they got him to do it.

I would just like to say that I finished the entire season and wow. Just. Wow.

As a person, I am not one to ever re-watch TV shows. I never really get into the shows that much and while I still enjoy watching different TV shows, I have never felt so into a TV show before.

I honestly feel like I learned multiple life lessons by just watching the show. I learned about life, relationships, and the what it means to be happy. Very, very well done.

just finished ep 11. god damn that was heavy.

I'm glad I actually decided to watch this show. I avoided it for the longest time because of the box art, but then caved in because of the reviews.

I love the writing. Not only is there humor, but actual interesting storytelling, serious moments, heavy shit to think about, etc.

Episode 4 is fucking hysterical and easily the funniest thing I've seen since I can't remember when.

Season 1 was awesome.
Season 2 was AMAZING.

This show is killing it. Absolutely killing it.
They voice acting is 100% top notch. Like,it is at the top of it's game for every single second.
And for some reason they manage to weave these tight, deep and emotional storylines mixed with comedy genius AND TALKING ANIMALS.

I really enjoyed the ride of season two. The biggest laugh for me was the end of episode eight. What a punchline.

Spoilers just because:

It'd be nice if we saw the last of Adultman. The gag was amusing in the first season, but it hit the wall and splattered when Kevin visited Caroline at her home.

I'd bet real money he'll be back, though.

And Bojack is such an ass. The bit with the game show was a new low.

I agree about
Adultman
. That gag has been played out. Hopefully
he's not Caroline's rebound after the fallout with the rabbit.

Of course Bojack is an ass. That's basically the premise of the show. That said, I really liked how ep 12 ended. It's very well earned.

Huh, was worried the second season wouldn't be able to live up to the first but this was great.

This season is on fire.

I saw that punchline coming a mile away and still laughed like an idiot because they nailed the delivery.

Consistently better than S1, definitely. Great humor. Great story. Just... wow.

Episode 11 was definitely the highlight of the season.

Sooooo....
Did Mr. Peanutbutter sincerely forgive BoJack, or is it because he was asked to do it? I mean, he is forgiving. He forgave Diane obviously, but the way he pulled that off with BoJack, I just couldn't tell. Also, I liked how BoJack was going to take MPB not forgiving him. He flipped when Herb didn't forgive him, but it's nice to see that he can take it.

Also,
Does MPB really have any right to talk when it comes to shit just being handed to anyone? The show literally just gives MPB shit and have things go right for him. In a way I guess it's to show how much he and BoJack are alike, but it's hard to believe he felt that way and not realized his own life, even when in the previous episode, he knew that was how his life works.

On the first note, I think that's pretty deliberately meant to be left ambiguous. On the second, I don't think PB was giving BoJack shit for having things handed to him - he was just wondering how BoJack can have so much and still feel unhappy.

Peanutbutter has a completely different worldview from BoJack. He has almost no cynicism and can't stay mad at people. Part of this stems from not being very smart, but it's also in his nature. Peanutbutter isn't upset that BoJack has so much going for him, just confused why BoJack can still complain.

First season was amazing

Second season is amazing

Well other people have already said it. But it's a extremely well written show. The dark parts stays with you after the episodes end, and the light parts gives you hope for the characters.

More ep 11 talk:
I just finished this episode and was really pissed with this, I don't think he was stopping her. If you listen after the lamp busts when Charlotte is outside of the boat you can hear her daughter say "oops shhh" or something along the lines while giggling.

EDIT:
I hope people have checked out the newly updated website.

This is beautiful... lol

I finished it last night after watching it for 3 days straight. I really love this series and can't wait for season 3. Todd still remains to be my favorite character. I fucking love him. I also appreciate the small touches they do to the show like how the appearances of characters changes in the intro depending on what happens to the characters throughout the season.

But this doesnt make sense for him. He was down as fuck and said to Charlottes daughter that she didnt knew what she wanted. She replied with she knows. He doesnt seemed happy with it, more like "Im sad now and dont want to do anything. Leave me alone. I just wanna get drunk and everything is fine". Maybe we should analyze that scene more.

Also
Who the fuck is Jill Pill? Maybe Kelsey Jannings?
