If Boston leadership wants to prevent Nazi violence then maybe they should ban Nazi marches in their streets and not give white supremacists a platform.

Disagree. They aren't gaining a significant number from these events that they can't earn from posting on the internet comment sections of every article. The alt-right is basically nazis/kkk light and they got the White House. This isn't fringe. I mean hood wearing and nazi slogans are maybe but the underlying message of hate towards different racesis shared among them all.
I think the thousands showing up gives a much more powerful and influential message .
This isn't how it works. It needs to be shown in mass numbers how many people disagree with them. Nazis and other hate groups benefit from people not wanting to rock the boat and let them operate unopposed.
Plus showing them for the pathetic people they is a good thing.
They stopped being fringe when the POTUS legitimized them. They should be shouted down every step of the way until we have a government that will call them out for what they are.

I'll put this simply so that you and everyone who wants people to just stay home can understand.
If Nazis/WhiteSupremisists/KKK/etc. know they can scare people away then every day and every where becomes a 'Free Speech Rally'. If counter protests were organized away from hate groups, the hate groups would just show up to scare away the counter protests knowing they are too afraid of conflict to stand against them.
So people have to put down the sheet cakes, step out of their homes, and counter-protest every single 'Free Speech Rally' because we're not going to be afraid of these bottom feeding sub-humans who want us dead!
