It actually looked like he was trying to poop himself, but couldn't.

The Jackets really don't need another defenseman. Our pairings are set, especially with the addition of Jack Johnson from LA. The greatest need comes at goalie.

I'd do the following if I was Howson. I'd shop the #2 for a goalie and maybe a winger. I doubt we'd be able to get either for just the pick alone. In order to get a goalie we'll probably need to package Nash in with the #2 to get a goalie. Hopefully a team would be gracious enough to give us an above average goalie along with a winger for Nash and the #2.

The team finished strong once Richards took over at helm and emo Carts went to join his pal Richards in LA. The emergence of Cam Atkinson, who almost had two hat tricks in the final games of the season, makes me hopeful for this team. Give us a decent goal tender and we'd be fighting for at least the sixth seed.

I have to begrudgingly agree. I didn't watch the team at all, except when they played us here in Winnipeg
(And beat us *Shakes fist in Edmonton's general direction*)
and damn, they were fast. If they can coordinate and mature, they could be a very dangerous team, offensively.

But you need to be able to keep the puck out of the net, and there isn't enough Vodka left in Khabibulin's glove-hand to help their back end.

By the time their players get good, will they be able to hold on to them? Always been a problem for small-market teams, at least in the past, I assume it's still the same today?

Darryl Katz is loaded, so spending money to keep these kids isn't a problem. He ain't David Thomson, who is really? But he can easily foot the bill. It'll be 1980s Oilers hockey all over again.

Staying under the cap is the problem.

Yeah, Schultz would be a huge get for the Oilers. Forgot about him.

What's with everyone already setting the draft selections in stone? I seem to recall how everyone says the Oilers will draft a D for the last 5 years in the 1st round but they never do.

Let me guess, they'll draft one this year!

Yea draft predictions are useless at this point, with tournaments and playoffs still to be played, and like I already mentioned the Combine will be huge this year seeing how injuries all the top players have dealt with. Still a long ways away till draft day.

Took a nap, woke up to Sportscentre expecting them to talk about Columbus drafting Yakupov and all.

Instead, it was Bob McKenzie saying, "it's not a bad situation. They can trade their pick," and thought Montreal or Edmonton dropped a spot or two. NOPE. Edmonton gets another #1 pick and Columbus gets #2.

Consider this post a container of salt, but that's bullshit. I understand that it's a lottery, and it all comes down to balls popping out of a plastic container, but of all the teams in the top 5 to get #1, I don't think it should've been the Oilers, plain and simple. They've had the chance to do it twice now, and to build their team better, but NOPE.

Red Man (I think he brought it up) has the right idea, where there should be a rule that automatically drops a team that had drafted #1 twice already, and finds themselves near that position again for a third time. Maybe drop that team to #3 or #4 by default.

The Oilers have tried to do something over and over again.

Do you really forget the offer sheets..? Offering huge money to free agents? Players REFUSING trades to the Oilers? Players DEMANDING trades from the Oilers?

What the fuck do you want the Oilers to do?

You two are dopes.

What players demanded trades from the oilers?

Anyone have a list of the top point producing players in the playoffs since the lockout? I can't seem to find one and I'm quite interested to see the results.

Pretty sure Briere and Crosby top the list. Other than that.... I dunno....

Yeah I had a feeling Briere would be tops but I wasn't sure. Zetterberg and Crosby are probably up there too.

Man and if it weren't for the fact that he played for Atlanta all those seasons I bet Hossa would make the list too.

Yeah, he only put up 248 points in 222 games as a Thrasher.

Toronto fans booed Joffrey Lupul at the Jays game today. :(

:(

He's pretty funny on Twitter. Walked into a golf joke on purpose.

I don't think it's fair that he got booed considering he was one of the team's best players, but I guess they all have to shoulder it.

Ha ha ha oh man Toronto does not deserve a playoff team if their fans heads are stuck that far up their asses.

Fuck you.

Hard to really defend the booing of Joffrey Lupul... then again, everyone on the Leafs deserves to be booed. It's a team game, after all. Still, tough to see one of the Leafs' best players get that kind of treatment.

It's been a tough here. Leaf fans are angry, and rightfully so.
