College Football 2016 Week Eleven: Who Gives a Fuck? We Elected Our Hitler.

Would you take a 5 year losing streak to your biggest rival if it meant no Trump Presidency? Yes, Michigan has been taking the L for a while so no need to go there...

On the small chance of speaking without thinking, I'd accept Duke never beating North Carolina again in anything.

A 5 year losing streak? No problem.

Is the alternative Pence or Clinton? If Pence I'd rather continue enjoying the streak against Tennessee. If Clinton, the opportunity to fight for civil rights issues and against climate change are worth some football losses.

Absofuckinglutely. It's not even a question.

I'd become a Seminole fan tomorrow if you told me it meant no Trump presidency.

Bill Stanfill passed away last night. He was well before our time, but he was a great player at UGA. All American, won the Outland Trophy, was a part of two SEC Championship teams. But his greatest accomplishment was his domination of Steve Spurrier.

Georgia's players also made gloating comments about Spurrier, Florida's leader, in the press, especially Bill Stanfill, who called it, "a fun day." "Steve didn't like you to get close or touch him. He'd get up complaining, 'Late hit, late hit!' I said, 'Excuse me, Stevie, I didn't mean to step on your skirt.'"

Stanfill bragged, "Even if he released the ball, his butt was going on the ground." Then he added, "And he didn't like it either. We pounded him. Not only me, but the whole team."

RIP

Considering I endured the Carl Franks and Ted Roof years where Duke didn't beat ANYONE for several years and the Hansbrough/Lawson years at UNC and still came out the other side alive, yeah.

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
I feel we've discussed this, but does Alabama really consider Tennessee their main rival? I never really noticed or picked up on that. I'd have assumed it was Auburn or LSU.
There's a geographical/age divide. The older and/or further north you go, the more the fans hate Tennessee. If you live south of Birmingham, then you probably hate Auburn more. If you're young, less than, say, 28ish, then you may also hate LSU more.

I was in college in the middle of a 9-0 run by Tennessee during the Dark Times (tm), and most of my family is from the Huntsville area, so I absolutely fucking hate Tennessee. Fucking fiveheaded, horse-faced motherfucking Manning leading the Tennessee band. Gah.

I doubt many consider LSU to be the main rival. That's a more minor rivalry that came from sharing a coach and a recent history of very competitive games. Definitely Auburn or Tennessee, but it seems split between those two.

I'll probably always hate Miami more because I went to school during a time when we never beat Miami and the fans were the biggest dicks ever. Starting fights and shit. Fuck Miami.

I went to the game in the swamp where Chris Rix and the refs upset the Gators on a last second drive, sat in the student section of the gators decked out in garnet, and everybody was pleasant with their ribbing.

I want the Gators to lose all their games forever but they ok.

Fuck Miami.

Best thing about Miami football is hear the shipping container full of frightened refugees hype them up all offseason then complain when they started tanking on the Leb local hour.

If Mike Ryan could personally kick Brad Kaaya off the team I think he'd drive down there right now and do it on air.

It will be interesting to see what happens to him if Art isn't coaching anywhere next season. He's still young and has the experience to get a decent job, but he's got some baggage and the few times he's ventured away from his dad in his life he always falls back under the umbrella.

Played for dad in high school until dad got a college job for one year, spent a year and a half or so in college away from dad before transferring and spending the rest of college playing for him, had a non-football related job for a year or so post-college before getting hired by dad as a coach (totally skipped being a GA).

You sure I don't know you?

I was a freshman at legion field watching five head lead them in rocky top as a senior. Made me wretch. Not from Alabam just love that school. I hate UT with a passion. Fulmer was a piece of junk (keeping it family rated here) and Just dislike about everything when it comes to the school, the teams and Knoxville.

With the Smoke taking hold across the Southern US I wonder how it will effect football. It's so bad in some places I wonder if they'd think about canceling games or if people just won't show up.

I'm a couple of years older than you. Alabama beat the Vols in Knoxville in '94. Then he won the following 3 games and led the band after each victory. I was a freshman in '95, so I saw it live at Legion Field in '95 and '97.

I can understand this. I remember back during the 90's, it was pretty much 100% Tennessee and FSU hatred at UF. Fast forward to the Richt era in the 2000's and beyond, and it's become way more centered on Georgia as a main rival. There were a few years there where FSU didn't even matter, and I'm sure they feel the same way about us for the last 6 years, lol.

But go farther back and Georgia has always been a big rival. It just kind of depends what you grew up with and what the power dynamic was like.

I'm glad we can bond over a shared hatred of Manning, though. Seriously, fuck that guy.

Yeah I should have stated 97. Man the memories just get my blood boiling. Also I am reminded of what and idiot 18 year old I was.

The only smoke over Durham last night was from the team entrance (Silence of the Rams, lol). It was hazy earlier in the day but when the temperature dropped the sky cleared out. Tomorrow is supposed to be a lot cooler.

Yeah I think Durham is further away than the Smoke can reach. Could be wrong though.

The big 4 schools that would be effected would be GT (away), UGA (home), Clemson (home), and Tenn (home).

I forget which one of the TSiO Legion games it was, but I wore shorts and a t-shirt to one of the night games. It was pretty warm during the day, but dropped into the 40's by the end. Utterly miserable experience.

I also attended "4th &19"... makes this current streak pretty sweet.

Bad finish.

If Todd Graham doesn't fire DC Keith Patterson (his best bro) then I have to imagine the AD steps in. 2 years in a row of the worst pass D in the FBS.

It was a bad finish, but hell if the refs didn't bail Utah out that one drive with TWO bad calls.

Yeah, A&M does have a freshman, but he's ass, my dude.
That's what I thought. The recruitment of Allen and Murray killed QB recruitment for two or three years. Both transferring before the bowl last year at least had the silver lining of letting recruits know there'd be an opening sooner than thought, if they weren't completely scared off by rumors.
