I played them all on PS3 so I wasn't interested in the collection (still have my PS3). But this looks amazing. Might pick it up now when it's on sale to have the definite collection of the trilogy.

looks like they've added AO, plane is way higher poly, textures better across the board, nates hair is infinitely better. and he finally has something resembling a beard, not a brown-ish/green-ish smudge. i hope U2 has had similar work done to it's character model and textures.

Oh yeah I forgot their work on Titanfall 360. They really do great work.

I think the collection should chart higher than MGS V.
That UC4 beta access will be a damn good incentive too.

What a nice trailer. Has some heart and gumption, it does. I'm 80 years old!

Also, the work they've done to U1 puts to shame a lot of what other studios call "remasters" nowadays.

Eh, I get your point, but still, they show clear improvements regardless.


I think they hype is coming from these improvements being much more pervasive and large than people expected. And that's awesome.

i think the remaster's solid 60fps over Uncharted 1's 30 plus screen tear and 2 and 3's 30 is great.

I'd want this mainly for UC1 which I love for it's setting. It also has the most room for improvement and what I'm seeing here looks jolly good.

I can't tell if the certain objects in the remastered game have a higher poly count or if the re-texture work is so good that it just makes it look like a higher poly model, possibly by better highlighting certain edges, and rounding out others ( like on various areas of that plane in the shots above).

Either, really great work, Bluepoint.

definitely higher poly. just look at the door and opening. nice and smooth now.

Ok, I watched it again in the office with 60fps (first time I watched yesterday was 30fps at home).

God of War sold around 3 million (it's the best selling Remaster overall, not just bluepoint's), this one will definitely sell better, especially if they bundle it with every PS4 like they did The Last of Us.

It will sell around ~6 million imo, which is great for a Remaster.

Never had the chance to play any of the 3 games and been waiting for this remaster since I got the PS4. Probably should stay away from this trailer though because of spoilers, right?

Everyone keeps saying spoliers, i saw no spoliers.
Oo someome gets injured? They all do at some point.
Sully meeting drake? Well they had too meet at some point..

Seriously there is no spoliers in this trailer, it aint like a movie trailer where they show everything..plus it is not exactly the last of us.

Optimistic estimate there I like it.

I'd say 5 million LTD. A bundle is a no brainer for Christmas surely.

Spoilers for set pieces though.

I mean, to a newcomer I'd suggest someone jut go in blind if they are dead set on playing the games.

Do we have confirmation that Crushing difficulty is not unlocked from the start? IIRC, in their E3 interview with Greg Miller and Colin, Neil/Bruce said that Crushing will be unlocked from the get go with UC4 so I would assume that that would translate over to the remaster.

Just watched this trailer and it actually made me sad realizing this will be Drake's final game. Made me feel like ND will end his story in epic fashion though, like Game Of The Generation quality.

I hope this isn't the last Uncharted though and another great protagonist will begin their story. If someone from ND is reading this please don't end this franchise. :(

I hope if this is the last game, they go out with a bang and make the best Uncharted ever. I have doubts that this is going to be the last Uncharted though. A few years down the line Sony will give the IP to another studio and possibly reboot or do something else with it and have it as a PS5 launch title.

What studio would ever want the task of trying make an Uncharted game on par with Naughty Dog's work or would even be capable of doing so? It doesn't even have to be regular thing from them. Just keep releasing one every 4 or 5 years. Expand the studio if necessary. It's worth it.

I have no doubt UC4 will be an all-time great.

This won't be the last Uncharted game, it will probably just be the last Nathan Drake game, Naughty Dog has made it a point to call it the last Nathan Drake adventure multiple times, but they never said it's the last Uncharted game, the franchise is way too big, Uncharted 3 is most likely the best selling PS3 exclusive.

I hope it stays too, since no other third person shooter plays like it. It's the only arena TPS franchise in the market right now.

Did they mention how the MP will be handeled? Will all MPs modes from the previous game be ported as well with a graphical upgrade only and everything else intact, or will they opt for one MP mode/option for the trilogy to rule them all?

There's no multiplayer, it's just the beta for U4.

None of the MP modes will be ported but access to Uncharted 4's multiplayer beta will be included.

i'm happy for the saturation change. the first game was so bright it was almost neon. the jungles in particular looked incredibly artificial because of this.

I would not worry about preliminary comparisons of compressed video.

I think the exaggerated colour palette fit the stylised art style very well. It was generally a nice change from other AAA games at the time which were mostly brown and grey and not much else. Kind of disappointed to see that they've changed it TBH. It's even more apparent in the explosion screenshot above. Where the PS3 version had a beautiful contrast between the orange highlights of the explosion and the brilliant sky blue, the PS4 version looks almost dull in comparison.

Fair enough. Though desaturating the game is something I could definitely see them doing so it won't be at all surprising to me if this is what the actual game looks like and it doesn't have anything to do with video compression or trailer-specific colour grading.

Well I thought Golden Abyss was better than 1 and at least on par with 3 so it doesn't seem that impossible.
