This edition will only play on a EU 3DS correct?

I'm debating keeping this preorder I just placed or not based on whether this copy can be played on a US 3DS, and/or wether I want the swag bad enough.

Yes, the 3DS is still region locked. So EU/AU only.

GAME.co.uk have just sent me a notification that they plan on dispatching soon and taking money for the pre order. I would suggest anyone with a GAME.co.uk order to check an make sure all their payment details are correct, so that they dont cancel.

Yeah but if you don't care about online play you can make your 3ds region free very easily.

Still strange that they didn't cancel any orders yet given that their preorder page stayed open for so long.

Well I believe it was basically an exclusive for them. (Only Nintendo store had it and I believe that gameseek get there stock through other channels) They probably didn't sell out at all, and they closed pretty orders with a bit left. This would allow more stores to get stock and display it.

Again Nintendo isn't as popular in the UK and samsis is still a more niche market. The only exception was fire emblem fatest but I believe that was down to 3 games in 1 deal that made it more desirable.

Seemed to be a GAME/Nin store exclusive like other LEs typically are in UK. Other UK sites likely source stock elsewhere. So they had majority of UK stock.

Free as in custom firmware hack?

Can you revert to US firmware whenever you want?

Yes through a homebrew program and about your last question i dunno exactly i know it's possible cuz i read it in one of the 3ds homebrew threads a while ago.

The reason i myself did not do it is because if i remember it right you can't play online anymore if you use custom software on 3ds. So i dunno exactly if that is revertable or anything that's why i did not do it.

I got that same email.

Despite already cancelling my order, when I managed to grab one from the Nintendo UK store. 100% Cancelled, got the emails to prove it. They better not try and charge me!

Naw, they send these emails to everyone who has ever pre ordered the item, including cancellations. The messages for actual dispatch are a different system.

Terrible system but it mostly works, so there will most likely be nothing done with it.

Had the same situation with male corrin as I got him for RRP on amazon.

The game was also available from 365games.co.uk it seems. Funny enough the price was £99.99 as well. However it still sells at this price. People really seem to want this edition at any cost.

Will this be officially released in SA?

Yes it is, both the standard and special edition will have this pre-order incentive

Special Edition is R899 which is like $70 I think

We will also be getting the Metroid 3DS which I have pre-ordered, releasing Friday.

Also sorry I don't know of any local stores that ship internationally.

So the special edition will be 99€ at amazon.de??
I think I'm going to cancel it and just get the standard edition

There are several people who claim that Amazon often reduces the price after release even sending refunds in case they already charged you. It is my first preorder so I cannot confirm or deny this. Someone claimed they might still not know the final price Nintendo will charge for this edition. To me this sounds unlikely not to say insane but I heard many bad stories about Nintendo lately from shops so I don't know what to believe. It is a gambling game and if they indeed reduce the price the people who killed their order because of the price won't be pleased. And if they don't you are screwed.

Bolded is BS since otherwise not every single store that's not amazon wouldn't have put it up for 69€. They know.

I think so too since no one with some sanity left in his mind would make such a deal. However not everyone offered it for 70 € but this seems to be more or less the intended sale price. I mean the official Nintendo UK store was like 60 pounds so it has to be something like that.

Yeah this is great but I bet this would be stopped at customs. Do they ship to Europe?

The shop appears to be intended for SA only. Interesting that you can still preorder. I wonder if they know their stock?

Dammit, I waited too long to cancel my GAME order of the amiibos and it's shipping now. Now I have to pay an extra £4 for that GAME tax.

Huh. I wonder if my Amazon UK order will be canceled. It has global shipping selected but like, it wont let me change my address to anywhere else in the states, and Im moving in a couple days.

Is anyone else starting to have second thoughts about keeping their Legacy Editions preorders? My Amazon Spain and Germany copies would cost over 100 EUR each including shipping to Singapore, and I don't even have an EU region console...

Cancel one of the pre-orders imo.

And I personally wouldn't buy a special edition that I couldn't play, but I know some people do.

They do, I write articles and reviews for one of the shops for their online publication, each shop gets allocated a certain amount of units and can request extra if needed. I've been allocated a review copy of this :) but still buying the special edition though.

Nintendo products are just not very big here so it is very easy to find their stuff. Whenever I see people complain about low stock of things in other countries it makes me want to go buy stuff and sell it for profit :)
