Anyone know what this might be yet?

I like the part where Bungie has developed a code redemption system within their own website and can give out special goodies for in game content whenever they like. Seriously awesome.

Doubt it. It wouldn't make it as much fun if we could ALL reap the rewards for an event we weren't present at.

The trading card codes are reusable.
The wristband codes required individual email registration, so I doubt they can be shared.

Damn, there goes my plan to get all the codes.

But I still love Bungie for having their own code system with Destiny, cool stuff and I hope some more codes will follow. :)

DICE did the same thing at a GDC, yeah?
Special in game dogtag or something like that.

Yeah, I can understand that giving out special items at special events has its benefits, but for people who like the game and have no chance at all to get any of those it kind of sucks. I expect that the content might be available in some other way though, maybe other codes that offer the same content.

Is Bungie at Gamescom this year? Because if so, I assume they might drop some there (which means I probably should go).

Can I get in this clan ( also my brother )

Smeg0rz PS4
ZanderFox PS4

A few things:

1. Right now it's only a group. Clans will be done later.
2. As far as I know policy is to only accept GAF members. Nothing against your brother but this is supposed to be a clan for NeoGAF users.
3. Tell us your Bungie ID so we know who you are. Do this by applying in the Bungie.net site and applying.

Half of the Quarian Admiralty board. I've heard Claudia Black (Admiral Xen) as one of the special Post Masters in the Tower, and Shoreh Aghdashloo (Admiral "Aunty" Raan) as an NPC down in the FutureWarCult section of the Tower. No word yet on the other two, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

What's your Bungie ID haha.

I'm throwing my name in the hat, too! I think I added the DestinyGAF at Bungie's site. But earlier today, used my PSN account to login. Not sure how will that work since I redeemed the codes and such there.

Username on PSN/Bungie is excaliburps.

So...does this mean we'll squad up with other GAFfers or what?
---------------------

I really, really miss the alpha. When I hit level 7 with my Titan, I thought I'd be over it. But no. I so want to try the other skills. I think I might opt for the Warlock for the final game since that character's super doesn't need me to come in close. But the Titan's super is more powerful in terms of damage.

What's the "best" or preferred class in the alpha?

Are those codes re-usable? Would be cool if someone shared :)
They were posted in one of the destiny threads yesterday around 4pm. Can't remember much beyond that. All the codes are reusable. There were 17 of them. I can't search on my tablet or I'd link you. PEACE.

Ordered a PS4 on friday, caught up in the hype. Now that I bought a ps4 I just realized that it has no games.

Applied for the group and def can't wait for the beta.

Do you only get 1 active skill per class like borderlands? I really think that limit could make the game dull after a while.

Why? Due to the throwable knife? I might choose that or the Warlock. Though I have seen an overabundance of Hunters in the alpha. Heh.
Honestly, I saw as many Warlocks as Hunters in the alpha. Titans were the rarer class from my experience.

I also think that the alpha cemented my choice of class as Warlock.

I would love to see Bungie give some numbers about this:

Do we have any idea of the percentage of each playable classes (and races) during the alpha ?

Like "55% of the players chose the Hunter class.".

Honestly i did not see many Titans...

But it seems that Hunter was the most played class. And when it comes to race, i saw a LOT of Exo during the alpha.

About the combination between each class and race, i saw a lot of these:

Hunter/Exo, Warlock/Awoken, Titan/Human.

Warlock's super is awesome that's why. =) It might not be as high damaging as the Titan or as cheesy as the Hunter's, but it gets the job done and it looks cool. xD

So I entered my Beta Code on Bungies site from an Amazon pre-order that I canceled. ( I am waiting for a collectors edition ) will my Beta code still work you think?

edit: damn I didnt notice I had already posted.

here is a cool screenshot to make up for it.

Knife, Golden gun, sweet cloak, double jump that is upgradable to a triple jump. Not to mention that the Hunter class was influenced by these dudes:

Great! Now you're slowly convincing me to join the Hunter camp. Triple jump? Damn. I haven't used the Golden Gun? Is it that good? I've heard it's powerful in PvP, but haven't seen it as much in PvE.

Each class has a different super move you use with your full meter, then there's your grenade, and your melee special, and you can modify each of those to do something different by spending points in your skill tree.

Has there actually been any clarification that there is a real damage difference between all the Supers? I know that Golden Gun is designed for accuracy (but on a timer), the Titan one is designed for close-range splash damage and the Warlock one more of a mid-range ability.

I guess what will inevitably set them all apart will be the secondary abilities. The Titan can spawn a Bubble Shield, someone was also mentioning that the Warlock or Hunter will be able to revive downed players at range too.

The Golden Gun is a one hit kill (at any range) to other Guardians in PVP. You get three bullets, and the only catch is it is harder to use than the Titan or Warlock super (easy to get multikills with those), but I find that challenge to be fun. It's useful in doing burst damage in PVE, though really powerful rare guns will probably outpower it.

The Golden Gun is just one Hunter super, the other super is using what's basically a lightsaber knife to do an AoE attack and cut, stab, and slice dudes in your general vicinity.

It has lots of games.

See you in the beta!

I only tried warlock and titan in the alpha, and warlock is superior IMO. The super is easier to use. I saw a ton of hunters though. During the beta, I plan on trying all 3 classes extensively. I'll have the final game long enough to max out all three classes, but I want to figure out which to use first. PEACE.

Never noticed the glowing devil horns on the Titan in this pic. I wonder if every class can use the same kind of helmet. :D

I only got around to playing a hunter in the beta, and it felt pretty comfortable, but i've noticed a lot of pistols in the artwork, and I've never been one for using a pistol in FPS games. While I did enjoy the golden gun super, should i be worried about leveling a hunter up as my main guy?
