Chelsea could drop out of the top four provided the other competing teams won't fuck up (they will). Arsene buying Nacho could salvage our season.

Chelsea third, whoever wins Arsenal vs Spurs 4th, whoever loses Arsenal vs Spurs 5th, Everton 6th. Would love to see Spurs and Everton get the CL spots though.

I will feel bitter if Spurs/Everton get into the CL. :(

But Everton would deserve it if they did.

All it takes is Arsenal/Tottenham going on a fine run of form and they could be in serious jeopardy if they keep playing like they are at the moment. I think when the chips are down they are going to produce the goods but it could make a thrilling end to the season.

This could have been Newcastle's year.

It's so beautiful. The music is fantastic.

You'll be able to power-up your protagonist Oliver and his party-members in a lot of ways, and you unlock power-ups by earning merit stamps.
It works like this: as you complete sidequests, you'll get stamps, which go onto your merit card. If you get enough stamps, you'll fill up a merit card, and you can turn in complete merit cards for upgrades like "enemies will drop more health orbs in battle" or "you'll move faster across land." Given that Ni no Kuni can be right difficult at times, these power-ups are very valuable.

But my favorite upgrade so far is the only one that has no practical application: the jump.

The jump is actually the first power-up you can buy. It's up-front about its uselessness, telling you, before you trade in a precious merit card for it: "Not very useful, but a whole lot of fun!"

That may be the most accurate power-up description I've ever seen. The jump is indeed not very useful—it doesn't turn Ni no Kuni into a platformer, and doesn't allow Oliver to leap to higher areas or access anything he couldn't before. But it IS a whole lot of fun, as advertised.

For a "useless" ability, a lot of work has gone into making the jump feel special. Like all the animations in the game, the jump looks lovely—Oliver throws one foot out in front and pushes off with his rear-leg; it's a real bound. Stairways are set so that Oliver can jump from the bottom to the top with precisely one press of the button. And the jump is available to you no matter what part of the game you're in: you can also jump in the lovely world-map and you and all of your familiars can jump in combat.

As purely cosmetic upgrades go, Ni no Kuni's jump is hard to beat. It's been lovingly worked into every part of the game, one of many seamless inclusions that serve to make the game and its world feel richer.

Spoiler tagged that unlockable ability in case people aren't up to that part yet.

What a game. I'm loving it so far, around 5 hours in.

I'd be surprised if Chelsea made top 4. Their form is appalling at them moment.
But it's still not much worse than the teams below them.

Last 6 games:
Chelsea - 8 points
Spurs - 12 points
Everton - 9 points
Arsenal - 8 points

I can see Spurs going past them, not sure about Everton and Arsenal.

Mata and Lampard will drag them through. They'll finish third because Spurs and Arsenal don't have the mental strength to overtake them really.

Spur's striking problems will fuck them over more than a lack of mental strength I'd imagine. Levy is a fool for not strengthening when it matters.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much

Yeah, pretty much this. I think Chelsea have serious problems but they have two players who score every week.

Personally I would rather have Arsenal in the top 4 than Chelsea.

Eh, I really don't care about the striker situation. Defoe has hardly scored in the last 10 games and we've still been doing well so all Ade has to do when he comes back is get the odd goal and that will take us to the next level. Chelsea only have two real strikers, Arsenal only have one (I don't count Walcott or Podolski as CFs), it's doable.

We don't have the money to pay silly January fees or buy players just for the sake of it, we made a sensible offer for the player we wanted, it wasn't enough, we move on.

Liverpool need 7 points from the next 9. 9 should be the expectation, 7 the bare minimum

Aye, we need to start demolishing teams if we're going to bottle all the big results. In fairness our performances have been brilliant for a while now, and I think we're capable of going on a decent run. Just need to hope Sturridge's injury won't keep him out of any games.

I don't see mental strength as a problem for Spurs this season.

They seem like a very mature team who are comfortable with the way they play and believe it will get them results. AVB helps there IMO. They drew 3 games in a row which maybe though should have won and then again were frustrated against WBA. In the end it was Bale who got them the win but watching them it didn't seem like they were worried.

Will still be tough for them to get past Chelsea because of the individual quality they have but Spurs seem like a very solid team to me.

They do have a lot of tough fixtures left though, all of the top half apart from United I think.

They're still a team full of players who have never won anything in contrast to most of the teams around them. It's always much easier when you've done it before. Removes a mental bloc.

SAGE00 ARE WE READYYYYYYYY?

Lemme ask Domizzi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtrTZhrJRF4

Those kind of tables aren't that reliable at all. I mean, there wasn't a penalty awarded to us last evening, yet that doesn't mean that Balo would've scored that. He scored another penalty, which wasn't as clear as the Domizzi one.

I agree. Because as far as I'm concerned we're missing 12 more points.

And surely Inter can't be that clean.

Only in the knockout stages and only because those sides have gotten to the point where they have incentive to play their strongest team.

The group stages are a real bore.

Most definitely. It's a shame the winner of the Europa League/Uefa cup doesn't get a spot in the Champions League the season after just to give the trophy a bit more value.

Last seasons game between Bilbao and Utd was amazing. Been a long time since a team has badly exploited the Utd weakness in the middle. It was ruthless.

Beyond the fantastic storytelling there is so many options and customization... it's fantastic. And it's challenging too. There are several layers of strategy and tactics in battle that you begin to understand the more you play. It's really well made. I'm about 10 hours in I think. I'm absorbing it all as I don't want it to end!

Just got done reading the PED article, and now I'm a firm believer that all the growth hormones Messi has been fed over the years is the cause of the little despot's unnatural consistency.

Come tell me I'm jealous, FootballFan, you know it to be true.

Gz man!! What's the milestone if you don't mind me asking?

I had put on a stone (6 kilos or 14 pounds) about 3 months ago and ive really struggled to get rid of it. But today its finally gone and now I am breaking new ground on my weight loss.

140 pounds down now since March 10th 2010

Superb that you have kept the weight loss and exercise going. That beard alone must be adding an extra stone to your total.

Beard is making me look heavier than I am lol. Considered shaving it today.

Its possible.

Maybe all the hair gel ronaldo uses makes him run faster too.

Remember that goal where Rafae literally stood there as someone ran past him to slot it in?

How can anyone read that article and not think of Messi? It's common knowledge Barcelona have fed him stuff over the years.

I'm more concerned about the 'Spanish WC winners'.

It can't be the Madrid players because one of them is a keeper and the other two are slow as fuck.

Definitely shave the beard Messi, it'll make you show off your new thiner form much better. And if you haven't yet, get some tighter fitting polo shirts or something, don't wear baggy plain t-shirts or sports shirts.

Well shit, someone could have told me this before I bought all the jerseys?
